But then again I haven't gotten past mission 2 for Homeworld 1 (I've been playing mostly skirmishes). So I can't confirm the mission 3 bug some people are reporting.
Uh, I'm in mission 6 (the one with asteroids) and so far so good; though I don't use formations much; just attack movement and aggresive behavior. Camera sometimes glitches, but corvettes are fine; been using only heavy ones though. I went for frigates asap anyway.
I did find one big issue during skirmishes. For whatever reason the amount of resources you can harvest on the map is pitiful vs the cost of things. It got to the point that I was having to salvage (and retire) enemy carriers just to pay to research and build frigates.
Apparently they removed multiplayer (including LAN) as an option in the classic versions of Homeworld 1 and 2. So even if you want to play the classic versions you can only play them as single-player games. LAME.
Well I've tried playing it but I don't really like it much. The way the difficulty works seems to make no sense at all.
Mission 1 was very straightforward - but that's fine as its more of a tutorial continuation.
Mission 2 - I go investigate the mission objective right from the start, and get overwhelmed by enemies while I have no defences. Time to try again.
Mission 2, attempt 2 - this time I build up my forces first while waiting for the enemy to attack. And so I wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. Finally I max out on ships and go investigate the mission objective. This time I massively outnumber the enemy so it's trivial.
Mission 3 - the cryo trays I need to defend get obliterated by about 20 enemy frigates before I even finish launching my ships. It's impossible.
After a bit of reading around on the internet, it appears that the mission enemies scale depending on how many units I brought from the previous mission. So if you do well on the previous mission, it can make the next mission impossible.
What I should have done was scrapped almost all my ships at the end of mission 2, which would have made mission 3 a walk in the park.
Aside from that, I think I could have really enjoyed the game. But being punished for doing well isn't my idea of fun.

Already after dusk in my country, but thanks nevertheless. Counting down minutes now:)
Edit: Now!!! 60% done:) Great job with launch, Relic/Gearbox/Steam guys!
That said waiting isnt a bad idea. The game does need more polish.
