The SCS version of this game adds the following modifications:
1) All spambots are stealth bots with very convincing and realistic first posts.
2) The forum spam filter is now a true AI and act proactively by scanning other forums for spammers IP and email domains to avoid them ever posting here.
3) Metalloman and Jalily develop a strange condition where they never need to sleep. Also they now have a direct telepathic connection to the Internet.
4) All moderators now have the invisible flag permanently turned on. They can't become visible in the online list. Ever.
That was the idea initially, but I forgot that I got notifications regardless of whether I had been tagged, cos I am thread owner. The same would be true if you bookmarked this thread.
If I find out about a spambot via a notification, but wasn't summoned in person, it would be counter-productive if I allowed the bot to survive until the summoned moderator swung the ban-hammer. If I banned without rewarding the user, then it would become almost impossible for anyone to win points, cos you and I (and anyone else who bookmarked) get notified regardless of who is summoned, and we can ban before the summoned mod arrived.
Thus I loosened the rules to "if a notification helped me to spot a bot earlier than I otherwise would have, then I reward the user".
If a mod finds a bot by themselves, then there is no need to reward anyone even if there is a summon in this thread. For example @booinyoureyes summoned me yesterday, but literally 1 minute earlier, Jalily banned the bot, so his notification did not speed up the ban, and thus I did not give him points (sorry Boo!)
Another example, I found a stealth bot yesterday, so I just banned it immediately. No point waiting for a user to find it and claim 5 points.
I must say i do the same as @Heindrich. I'd like to add just that if I ban a spambot and later see that there are messages here about that particular bot I check the time of the message. If it came before my ban the person gets the point.
Seems that the OP needs to be edited a bit about the rules...;P
However: tonight I'm out with friends enjoying some beer and some Grappa with a good Toscano cigar so... I'm not avalaible for banning duty this time guys, sorry! More fun for others! ;D

@mlnevese
A) Spambots now choose realistic names or names of characters relevant to Baldur's Gate. No more easy patterns to recognize.
Spambots now create REAL email addresses and will answer confirmation emails. No more easy fake or disposable e-mails.
The following feature could not be completed in time for release and will be included in version 1.1:
1) Some stealth Spambots will contribute to the forum and try to achieve moderator status in order to unbanish other Spambots.
in SCS spambots are too OP and there are no exploits.

And if it is so: can't we change the rules so we could assign more points to our guys here?
