@LadyRhian No worries, this is how i learn. Spelling pulled my grade down in English class. But then my female teacher was massively talented so i was distracted most of the time
@Tr_ond I always got good grades in English. I think it was because my mom used to plop me down in front of Sesame Street, Electric Company, and Mr. Rogers as well as Captain Kangaroo. I dimly remember some Shari Lewis and Kukla, Fran and Ollie, too. And when I got older, Zoom, 3-2-1 Contact, Mr. Wizard, and a whole host of others.
I love writing "alot," though the world may scorn me. Maybe one day I'll relent.
Edit - I contract the two words in speech, so why shouldn't I write them thus? I don't know anyone who says "a lot" unless they are referring to an auction lot, which isn't often!
