    Do you plan incorporating Wild Mage Additions into your mod? The spells included there are tons of fun and a staple for most, who enjoy the subclass. I don't think the mod creator is there anymore, so no clue about legal issues.

    @Krotos, I've been eyeing Wild Mage Additions, but I've been quite busy just working on what I already have and fixing bugs that I'm not sure if I'm ready to adopt another major expansion. I'll definitely look into it in the future however.

    The mod works flawlessly with a single exception - the Rodent Form spell stopped working for some reason. I remember that I used to get the subspell it's meant to be replaced by - Ratatosk Shape - in the past, but nowadays it simply does nothing, no idea why.

    In case you're confused, Rodent Form is meant to replace itself with Ratatosk Shape and cast Ratatosk Shape on a caster.

    Version 0.6 is finally available for download from the top post of this thread! A list of changes is included in the change log. An updated ReadMe will be coming soon. Big thanks to @Grammarsalad and @subtledoctor for their contributions to the mod.

    The primary focus of this update was bug fixes and general polishing of the components. In addition, I have made efforts to extend Tome and Blood compatible (where possible) to the non-Enhanced Editions (such as BG2, ToB, TuTu, and Trilogy). Tome and Blood should now also not have problems when spells are added or removed from the game (such as by Spell Revisions).

    If you have a previous version of Tome and Blood installed, I strongly recommend that you completely uninstall it before installing the latest version.

    And as always, comments, criticism, ideas, and requests are always welcome.

    @agb1 , interesting. It doesn't surprise me that the Spell Selection Dialog component is fragile. Do you happen to know which other mods that introduce spells the person installed? I could generate a short term solution from that information.

    The fix for this is probably to have a hash from spell names to state numbers, but I am not entirely sure how one would generate a hash using WeiDu... I'll ask around...

    From the debug file, I think only IWDification's arcane and divine spells (components 30 and 40) were installed up to that point.

    Correction: Tales of the Deep Gardens adds spells too, but they are not selectable at level up.

    Yeah, only those too, I didn't install Spell Rev or any other spells mod.

    I also installed Saradas Magic 2, don't know if that adds any spells,

    Saradas Magic 2 copies some custom .spl files to the override folder but doesn't use ADD_SPELL on any of them. I'm guessing only ADD_SPELL matters for Tome and Blood.

    @dady977, @agb1, basically the error is that my checklist of spells found two spells with the same name (Spell Deflection). The way the component works is that the dialog selection menu is generated during install, allowing it to adjust to whatever spell changes have been made. One of the benefits of this method is that updating compatibility with other mods is easy, but obviously I haven't ensured compatibility with all of them yet. I'll check Tales of the Deep Garden, Saradas Magic, and IWDification. Thanks for your patience and for reporting the bug.

    I'm also getting the same errors @agbl is getting, except I'm getting them when re-installing the new version of Tome and Blood. My situation is that I have the following mods installed: More Style for Mages, Tome and Blood, BG2 Tweaks, Might and Guile, and finally NPC_EE, installed in that order. While starting a new game in Baldur's Gate II: EE, I noticed that one of the components of the mods caused all of the spell scrolls in the game to be unusable (you can still write them to your spellbook but you can't use a spell directly from the scroll or assign the scroll to a quick slot).

    Thinking it was some component of version 6 of Tome and Blood, I uninstalled the mod and the problem went away. Since TaB is the only mod I'm using that was recently updated, I then tried to install it again without choosing the new Scales of Balance content, and then I ran into the Spell Selection Dialog errors...

    ERROR: internal label [Spell_Deflection] appears 2 times in processed DLG [QDSPLSOR]
    ERROR: postprocessing [QDSPLSOR]: Failure("cannot resolve label")

    When installing TaB version 6 the first time, there were no errors and everything installed fine. Right now I'm thinking there's some problem with TaB installing after either BG2 Tweaks, Might and Guile, or NPC_EE.

    EDIT: Found out that the non-usable scrolls issue is due to the component Specialist Mages Overhaul. Is that an intended feature or a bug? Just asking as I can't find any documentation where it mentions scrolls will be unusable if this component is installed.

    EDIT 2: So just now I installed all components of Tome and Blood EXCEPT Specialist Mages Overhaul and I received no errors. I did get "INSTALLED WITH WARNINGS" for "Spell Tweaks (by Subtledoctor)" and "New Class: Oracle", but everything seems OK.

    @Swifty_Magee - installed with warnings still usually means that the mod won't work quite right. Please upload your setup-tomeandblood.debug file here so @Aquadrizzt can look at the warnings.

    @Swifty_Magee , @agb1 , the reason WeiDu says "installed with warnings" for the Spell Tweaks and Oracle components should not be cause for concern. The Spell Tweaks warning is that the modifications to the scrolls don't change the effects (which is fine) and the Oracles warning is because I gave a non-thief (Oracle of Murder) a backstab progression, which as far as I can tell has no issues in-game.

    Thanks for testing out various scenarios and having the patience to reinstall numerous times. I'll look into the reasons that this is happening.

    This is a drive-by post. I've only just learned of the mod, haven't played it, haven't read all the pages here, so apologies if this suggestion is already implemented, already discussed, or impossible/undesirable to add.

    While specialists have gotten bonus spell slots, I've never liked that the rules allowed you to memorize whatever you wanted. It's entirely possible to be a diviner who fills her slots with magic missiles and fireballs. How is that being a diviner?? How are you in the least bit different from the enchanter with missiles and fireballs, the necromancer with missiles and fireballs, or the abjurer with missiles and fireballs? And why are you getting more of them than a normal mage?

    A house rule I use is that half the spells a specialist memorizes at each level (rounded up) must be of their specialty school. It doesn't matter where those slots come from, be it from a high stat, class bonus, specialty bonus, racial bonus, magic item, or whatever. If you have 9 1st level slots, 5 of them must be filled with spells from your specialty.

    I think forcing specialists to actually, y'know... specialize in their school is more realistic, and is an appropriate "cost" for that extra spell slot. I have no idea if you can or want to implement such a thing, so I'm just throwing it out there.

    @Lord_Gay, if that were possible I would have definitely considered it. Unfortunately, spellbooks are basically impossible to modify in any substantial way (changing slots is easy, changing spells known for sorcerers was difficult, everything else is pretty much impossible). I do appreciate the suggestion though.

    @Aquadrizzt, no prob. I figured you couldn't, so I mostly posted the idea as inspiration for others if they want to house rule it. It's what I do in my own games, I simply choose spells from my specialty.

    Hey @Aquadrizzt , I have Tome & Blood v6 installed and when I declare my Bloodline (Bloodline Sorcerer class) and I choose the Amorphous Sorcerer kit, it won't give me the assigned spell it should give me at level 8 (the spell is Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting), I had to add it manually by using EEKeeper on my savegame file.

    Hi. I believe there seems to be a faulty (?) dependency for scales_of_balance/spells/spwi914sr.spl
    I get an installation error for BWS (I don't use Scales of Balance). Of course the problem can be resolved either by continuing or adding scales_of_balance/spells/spwi914sr.spl manually.

    Don't know if this is a known/noted bug already but... dragon disciples are (still) losing the buff to unarmed combat whenever I load a save. Everything else seems to stick with them though.

    Also, with 'Eldritch sorcerer' bloodline, I didn't get dispel at 3rd level for some reason and couldn't find it elsewhere.

    I should mention that there is a bug with the new item creation such that most created wands will be unidentified... That is already fixed, and will be in the next build

    Also, all item creation abilities will be condensed into a single ability

    Hi All,

    Thanks for the hard work!

    Here is what I have seen that doesn't seem correct:
    1) I can't select specialist mages from the mod.
    2) The circlet of the Archmage acts like a helmet and turns off spells (get from Thalantyr near Beregost).
    3) Xzar starts off with 5 spell slots at level 1 (no memory ring on).

    Looking good:
    1) The spells for Magus and bloodline sorcerers look to provide the correct spells per level and spells known.
    2) Like the cantrips.

    @subtledoctor , interestingly, spell select not installing due to the presence of specific mods is very helpful in finding the conditions that the mod should check. It does not appear to work in some non-English languages however. Thanks for the conjurer description fixes and the spell tweaks fix.

    I'll see if I can find a more stable (install-wise) version of spell selection.
