    I started a BG2 game and tried the Oracle. I am finding I cannot get any of the level 4 spells to become learned. I try and it says I learn it, but then the spell is back in the list of choices. I have been unable to get any lvl 4 spells to take. Is there some requirements to learn 4th level spells?

    Check your spell book to make sure you actually have casts of 4th level spells available. The spell learning dialogue seems to allow access before you should have them, and taking them early causes a loop that lets you basically get all of the spells. It puts them in your spell book, but it doesn't remove them from the list, when this happens.

    @Necromanx2, as @Caelen said, there is a bug where the Spell Selection Dialog will allow you to choose to learn spells before you have any spell slots of that level. This causes infinite looping (because the check is if you have the spell memorized, but you wouldn't because you don't have any spell slots of that level). If it happens, simply exit the dialog. This is another one of the major bugs that is being fixed in the next release.

    Yeah, it's because the selection system relies on a trigger that is not available in bgee at the moment. It'll be added when bgee is updated.

    Sooo I cannot be a diviner at all no matter what race I choose, any reason for that?

    Also can I safely install wild mage additions? I really want to use that mod for wild mages and I loaded a wild mage with your mod and it does not seem changed at all, can't access any of the crafting abilities and seems vanilia as far as I can tell. Just asking before hand as I don't want the game to implode. Oh and all specialist mages are locking me out of two spell schools instead of just one. I thought only Edwin's Red Wizard was supposed to do that.

    edit: teach me not to pay attention XD "Incorporation of the Divination school into Generalist and the removal of Diviners."

    Oh hey every time I rest in game it makes my quickspell slots say I have 0 of each spell memorized, now thankfully this is not true and if I click the casting icon I can access my spells but it is really annoying to reset my quickspell slots every single time I rest.

    The circlets from more style for mages which was installed before this mod now prevent mages from casting while wearing them I am pretty sure that an intelligence boosting circlet is not supposed to prevent casting. Is there a way for me to fix this?

    This could be an install order issue... Not sure, but it's worth checking.

    Anyway, please keep posting bugs. Both of us are quite busy these days--I'm less busy, but I'm only a contributor, and I have another mod I'm working on--but know that you are not being ignored. You should see a pretty large update probably in December or January.

    Umm this might be an issue, I actually started a new game just to get the screenshot because I did not remember to take it earlier but yeah learning Protection from Petrification actually gives me blindness.

    In order:

    Quickspells: I don't know why this would happen.
    Jaheira + Oracle: I don't know why this would happen.
    Circlets as helmets: I believe that TnB v0.5 just looks for any item that takes up the helmet slot. This is getting fixed in the new version.
    Nalia Dialog: This has been resolved in the new version.
    TnB Items: I generally don't make equipment sets for TnB until I'm positive that I won't be changing the kit. Those will be coming at a later point.
    Blindness/PfP: This is likely a typo that has definitely been fixed in the new version.

    @iavasechui since you are the sole person reporting these issues, and you are reporting a lot of them, I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that you have some mod incompatibilities and/or load order problems. I don't think these are all bugs with TnB. Please post the contents of your weidu.log file - open it with a text editor, copy everything, and post it here inside [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] tags.     I chose not to install any of the tweaks that changed anything to do with mages other than the bard spell progression table after checking that tome and blood did not affect bards. And I looked up a guide on basic install order before I installed anything.

    I have had dialog issues when installing and uninstalling mods, including TnB. The best way to know for sure is with a clean install, which I know is a pain

    I started from a clean install. Its less of a pain with EE since I no longer have to work with damaged disks.

    Oh not a bug, more of a request. Could you make it so that I can give the bladesinger kit to Xan in bg2ee? I use the Xan for bg2 mod and I would really like to try out that kit for him.
  • How would I go about getting just the added items? Is that possible?

    Or is there a quick way to fix the circlet issue that has cropped up with MSfM? I really want both mods the circlets take priority for me and that little issue is a real hangup.

    This is a very ugly fix, but put the attached files in your override folder. The descriptions will not be right, but they should work as expected.

    I just completed BGEE with the Magus (was fun). I have gone to import the save to BG2EE and he turns into a Revenant Sorcerer (from both save file and character files). I cannot get the transfer to stay as a Magus. I can create a Magus from scratch in BG2EE, but I really wanted to continue my character. Seems that classes don't align between BGEE and BG2EE for Magus. I wonder if other magic users will have the same issue transfering?
