Not sure if this is considered an Easter Egg or not, but it isn't something I've seen mentioned before. If you choose Imoen's portrait for your character, she uses an alternate portrait in the game. I didn't test if this was true for other NPCs as well.
Yeah, that has always been the case. I assume it is to prevent confusion from identical portraits.
are there any consequences to who you inscribe? because afaik it didn't affect my game at all
I never played Dorn's quest, I found that when revising the DLG files and used my ToB saved game to get there. But anyway it does not influence in anything, game-wise, but, man, it makes me feel so good knowing that now Tyr's paladins are going after Noober! Look what good you can do by not killing him in the first game :P
@CrevsDaak Are you so sure it doesn't influence anything in-game?
I just thought I'd pop in quickly to say there are a couple of forum-joke-related Easter Eggs in the banters in the new content nobody has found yet to my knowledge
Even a one-off appearing of @LiamEsler here is causing such a high level of excitement in me. It probably has already started a quest between us to "find them all" in terms of those forum-joke-related banters. Woo Hoo!
P.S. I'm kind of proud I somehow managed to summon Liam here with my post on his wall yesterday;) Apparently, I've created a new spell - Summon Liam.

I am now browsing through the banters of the new characters in NI looking for these. So far I have yet to find any reference to werebears or broccoli/cauliflower (I haven't gotten very far though).
There was a new magical item that was made for BG1:EE that never made it into the game. It is something of a joke item and it is called Chanserv's Fish. It is a +2 club that does an additional 1d4 cold damage. The only way to get the item in an unmoded game is to create it with the console:

Chanserv's Fish Those who claim something is better than a slap in the face with a wet fish never took a frozen fish to the noggin. This hefty halibut packs a wallop with a chill worthy of the North Wind.
There is also obviously the Root of the Problem. Which existed as a file in the original game but for whatever reason was never implemented in it (or in BGEE for that matter).

The club you get from the druid stronghold in BG2 is named 'The Root of the Problem'. Is it the same?

The Fish+2 is the best club in BG:EE, in my game I gave it to the fishers that want Tanya dead so they give it to me as a reward. I might make a complete rework of the dlg for a mod maybe.

We have a winner. That would be a perfect reward for helping the fisherman
(or to pick up after you kill them...whatever works)
Apparently if Rasaad is not in your party and he helps you fight either Nimbul or Neira he will approach you after the fight and politely suggest that you not fight in the streets... I wonder why that never happened to me before... Oh wait, I bet it only happens if you haven't talked to him before then.
My personal favourite is the Mr. Freeze Death Ray (frosty.itm). Its a bolt that does 2d12 cold damage.
There is also the flamethrower. Its also a bolt (2d12 fire damage) but it has a save vs breath to not do half damage.
As you can quite imagine both (as well as the laser and the frag grenade) can be safely categorized as cheat weapons (they don't run out of ammo and at least in the case of the Mr. Freeze Death Ray I was getting 6 APR with it).
There are a few more items on that list that are probably a bit more reasonable
@elminster those were introduced in ToB to be used with the Big Metal Rod, but you only get the Scorcher and Frag Grenade Ammunition. There is a bug in BG2:EE that makes Ice Rays look like Fire Rays if you want to report this...
A kinda hilarious encounter with Biff the Understudy can be arranged in BG1. Drop Khalid off at the Tavern where Volo is found in Nashkel before doing Minsc's Quest [I had also stashed Imoen with Joseph's Wife- helping her through her grief].
After returning my plan was to reunite Jaheira and Khalid but disband both of them so they could pursue investigations about Tazok and the Bandits through their Harper connections in the Cloakwoods. It was really funny sending Jaheira into the Tavern and discovering that Biff the Understudy had taken her place after imagining such a dramatic reunion fraught with peril, big news and the cloak of secrecy.
She actually thought for a second that Khalid was finally coming out of the closet!!

I'm going to feel silly when it turns out that everyone knows about this but me.
