Favorite Fighter Class v.2

Hey guys, I cleared it with Dee, and the poll series is coming back! There'll be a weekly installment, likely on Sunday or Monday, so enjoy ten weeks of class polls!
This is the first of a series of polls showing what everyone's favorite classes and kits are. There will be ten polls, one for each of the standard classes. Barbarian will be placed in the fighter quiz because it has no kits, so there'd be no poll if it wasn't with the other fighters. This poll is to show personal preference, and not to say what is the strongest kit. That said, feel free to debate to your heart's content in the comments!

I think I commented before that I really like the concept of Wizard Slayer, and that I think it's a shame they're so nerfed in the game...
Because immunities and powergaming.
Then, vanilla fighter is my favorite to RP.
Anyway i find the fighter and his kits to be boring gameplay-wise with so little options.
For BGEE
Top tier: barbarian, berserker (rage means autowin against mages)
Mid tier : dwarven defender (AC is a sufficient protection in BGEE), fighter
Bottom tier : kensai, wizard slayer
For BG2EE / TOB
Top tier: barbarian, berserker, dwarven defender
Mid tier : fighter, kensai
Bottom tier : wizard slayer
Only the kensai fits in this imagined picture of my PC ^_^
Apart from that, (and especially because Barbarians can't get multi-/dual- classed) I like standard Fighters. While the Kensais are certainly popular, mostly due to recent heroic media and tropes that downplay the importance of armor in historical combat - I do believe that armor was developed for a reason and a real warrior must be durable.
The berserker is an insane person going to fight for the sake of fighting. He doesn't care about living through it or not. Another stupid one.
The barbarian is simply too primitive for me, but is still fun to play.
The fighter and the wizard slayer are both characters who live by fighting. They don't live to perfect their swordsplay (kensai) or to find themselves in the middle of a raging battle (berserker and barbarian). Unlike the three other kits, they don't live to fight, they use fighting as a way to survive, get rich or help people. Those two won't mind retreating from a fight. Or won't die doing so because they do wear armor. They are also the only ones smart enough to use misile weapons.
Wizard slayer is only cooler because he specialises in killing wizards. Even if he is mechanically bad at it.
By Gimli from LOTR.
Or like Star Wars! Double Maul for everyone!
