I backed Divinity:OS 2 on Kickstarter. Shame, that I got the Steam key a few days back, but can't play it as my computer won't be able to run it and I've been avoiding upgrade for 2 years...

I'm not sure it's THAT much of a graphical upgrade from the first game, but if you struggled to run that one, this one might not work so well....
I'm able to get a solid 30 frames even with settings on high, with a relatively modest laptop with a mediocre Nvidia card. Shadows on low and disabling Depth of Field works wonders for just about any game.
"There is something that is missing in Early Access and that is why you're confused," creative director of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, says. "It's party relations and it's scripting for the companions. Currently what you're doing is you're controlling your party members as if you were to control them all in multiplayer - and that will not be the case when you're playing single-player."
Instead, Vincke says, think of them as companions in Dragon Age: Origins or Baldur's Gate; companions with minds of their own.
"Your companions will have their opinions and you will have to influence them," he says. "You will still be able to walk around in the world as [the character] Red Prince if you, for instance, started as Sebille; what you will not be able to do is affect Red Prince's origin's quest. You will also not be able to affect his relationships."

Actually, just found out my company's computer is much more powerful than I had thought and using it to play Divinity:OS 1. (In my off time)
I've never played any of Larian's games, but now I want to check them out. Any advice on where to start? Would I be missing out by starting with Divinity: Original Sin?
I know not everyone likes puzzles, but OH MAN I've found my most favourite in-game puzzle ever. Closer to the end of the game (DOS1), you get to a room with a floor where you can find a chicken, lots of cells, and 3 levellers. You can turn your chicken into a cat, a dog or a rat. And this creature will move from one cell to another so that you could reach the needed destination based on the type of food it prefers. THIS IS SOO COOL!

Man, I can't wait to try out one of these characters - and outfits.
