Is autocorrect evil or just chaotic neutral?
Thanks to autocorrect we saw @CaloNord become CaloNerd and a discussion about lunch suddenly discussing launch... Don't ask me what was launched, I don't know
Anyway, @Metalloman believes autocorrect is evil while I think it's just chaotic neutral.
So what did autocorrect do against you lately? Is it evil, chaotic neutral or some other alignment? Does it have plans to make us look stupid at the worst times? Some wierd plans for world domination?

What worse, on my old phone it used to randomly turn itself back on again and begin "Correcting" words.
I don't see how changing my entire text message so it says something else is a helpful service. My 14 month old could do that for me.
It turned a text to my father from "Ejection seat" to "Erection Seat" which was... embarrassing.
As well as turning @meagloth into @Meatloaf... But don't worry, it's gone now... I think..
And lets never mention... CaloNerd. We shall never speak of that again.
Sadly any others I can remember are a little beyond the PG-13...
That's one's ok to post, right?
Especially to fantasy writers.
Anyway: Autocorrect is EVIL! I warn you! I disabled it from the very beginning because I foresaw DOOM!
Disable it you all, or eternal DOOM will fall on your mobile devices and you'll cry in despair in saecula saeculorum!!!
I love latin. Such a graceful language.
But seriously. It is out to get you. If you went to school you should know how to spell anyway! Even if you don't most people will catch your drift...
Autocorrect is worse in my opinion. Spellcheck only notifies you of a perceived mistake. Autocorrect forces it upon you without your permission. Spellcheck is somewhat democratic, whereas autocorrect is downright totalitarian.

So he could make money on the side. Greedy bastard.
Most of my posts are completed whilst on my phone, sitting on the toilet. I usually don't have time for a re-read and edit unless constipated.
So I deem auto-correct to be a lawful good Paladin of the American dictionary god.
It's crusade against bad spelling is relentless. Death is the judgement if you are not recognised as a word. Grammar and meaning are acceptable casualties in this war...
*Forgets to grab toilet paper, wipes bum with phone...*
See?
Evil.
