Ok, the idea for this -maybe- interesting thread started after spotting this art on the internet.

It comes from this blog which I believe some of you will find interesting and fun. :)

At this point I want to summon @OneAngryMushroom‌ and @lolien‌ to let them talk about their way of living in the Myconid society, maybe giving us some insight on how a mushroom lives its life in the Underdark while chased by Drows, Illithids, Beholders, Kuo Toas, Duergars and every sort of creature which only wants them for subtle purposes like brewing potions and such.

Also everyone wants to contribute with mushroom lore here is invited to do so!

@Anduin‌ @Montresor_SP‌: I want to hear your opinion on this topic as I want to know how lawn gnomes (undead and wooden too) confront with myconids and mushrooms in general, as I think that they're not happy to see their similar used as homes... :P

    Lots of mushrooms growing in my area at least two on the front lawn, they troll my lawnmower due to the short size of the stems. Not sure if they are edible or not i will have to see. I love mushrooms it has a certain flavour when raw and cooked.

    And come on! share some knowledge with us, what about if I promise you that no gnome will eat mushrooms in this forum? ;D

    Hm, my first thought when I looked at that picture of the myconid was "ouch, that looks like a nasty infection".

    You show that do a doctor and his recommendation will be fire.

    I'm a doctor and I don't recommend fire - just a gentle toss in a pan full of clarified butter. btw not all doctors are HE!

    Hm, I'm not sure whether you didn't get that I was making a really stupid joke (that a mycondid looks like an inflamed penis), or whether you just have some really interesting culinary tastes.

    Confusing spore thing, huh? I always thought the myconids had umber hulk gaze.
