Thank you guys! The second in the vote is the one with the wand, and i like it too. Here i tried something IWD stylish. It's more tricky, than BG style, and this is my first attempt on a portrait IWD-isation, so exuse me for the limited success.
thanks! I love it only wish it were a bit less tan to be more of Meer's skin tone. besides, I would expect someone in a cold place like IWD to be more pale. I'm assuming though it had to be done a bit as you tried to create the more painting look.
edit: really love the second one as well, and it got my one little complaint right

We are going to need a print of this for the office.
@ChildofBhaal599, thanks for the constructive remark! Besides the skin tone i noticed other flaws on my other computer, which has greater contrast and brightness adjustment. I tried to fix them:

I edited the upper posts and changed the old ones for the newer ones too.
Too late now, but I liked the first one where he looked like he had just gotten hammered and was trying to chat up the tavern wench (who it turns out is actually Elminster, but he's too drunk to notice).
I'm Chief Inspector Sltrrr Zltrrr C'k L'k, and here's the recent fruit of my enquiry:
Ah, I see you've met my dear Uncle Marthur during one of his increasingly rare bouts of verticality. I adore the man, but keeping him upright long enough to paint such a piece speaks well of either the speed with which you work or the clarity of your memory. (And who would ever have thought the word or indeed the very concept of "clarity" in relation to any mental processes might find itself in such close proximity to Uncle Marthur's name? Not me, I can tell you that much.)
So... i was on holiday at Icewind Dale, and i managed to grab this original Canteo Ephingo work, an Alveus Malcanter portrait. The title of the painting: "Sometimes it's good to have a high-level cleric uncle, even if he is a drunkard otherwise". I thoght that i share the portrait with you:
So... This is Mark Meer, hmmm? Amazing. I can't even express a genuine emotion as well as he can act one out. I have always been astounded by the talent of voice actors...

Well done iolien!
He looks like an evil badass... Actually...
If the Emperor wore level 10 wizarding robes they would look pretty similar...
Thumbs up from me!
