"So we managed to get the Fallout art director, Mr. Leonard Boyarsky, to pen one of the portraits for the game. Obviously we are big fans of Leonard’s talent. "
In Umoria and Rogue, when you died you got a tombstone on screen showing among other things what had killed you. This could be rather embarrassing if you'd reached an insane level only to die in some ridiculous fashion.
(Explanation for those who don't know the story: http://www.blindpanic.com/humor/vecna.htm. In Planescape: Torment, Morte makes a couple of references to the Head of Vecna in conversations with Fall-From-Grace.)
The Planescape: Torment, Age of Empires and Heroes of Might and Magic memes have been most excellent. This thread is awesome.
I'll contribute a bit:
Y U NO LIKE other (non-PST, AoE and HoMM) memes? : )
But seriously, thanks! We need more participants here. Awesome humour, @Tresset ! It really is a shame when a non-Necropolis character gets the Necromancy that he can't use at all. As for the scouting, it could be quite a useful skill in several situations. The Eagle Eye is the example of a useless skill : )
Torment stuff: I couldn't understand why Scofflaw Penn wouldn't let me join the Anarchists... Turns out he won't if you betray an Anarchist at the start of the game. *Facepalm*
@bengoshi Hah! The random maps do some really goofy things sometimes!
Sure, scouting isn't a terrible skill in all situations, but when compared to most of the other skills it is easily in at least the bottom 5 of usefulness. There are worse ones in some situations, like navigation in a waterless scenario, but scouting is pretty dopey in most situations. Eagle eye is pretty bad too though.
@bengoshi, that first one with the lone troglodyte in the corner got an actual, literal laugh-out-loud from me. The "like" button isn't enough to express how funny I find your HoMM 3 memes.

P.S.
Did you name your computer just to be able to do that? XD

When you can't learn Town Portal
This one isn't mine, but the Greeks invented Cobras!:

Trust me, this works... ;-)
