I have mixed feelings about Viconia's SoD portrait. The art is amazing, and it looks like Viconia from BG2, but I myself would have prefered a remake of the BG1 look, with chainmail and shoulder pads . As for the change in her hood's color, I agree that you guys are making an amazing job, I just think that the yellow hood is part pf her flair, and it contrasts her skin .
For me it where always actual highlights, not just refelctions. The angles don't make sense for reflections.
We're speaking of BG portraits here. The rule of thumb is that if it doesn't make sense, it makes sense. Sometimes even with double the usual disco lighting.
I like the way you made this strange blue-skinned Czechoslovakian athlete look a bit more like an actual elf. This is how the original artist was supposed to make her look. And probably would have, were he not so preoccupied with her... anatomy.
I want to make a portrait of a punk anarchafeminist looking elf reading a photocopied zine of Monique Wittig's essay "One Is Not Born a Woman" with a look of intense concentration and make her my CHARNAME
made this post back in April, been off the forums for a bit but she's actually completed (by the amazing artastrophe!)
Her name's Ilyòthearn, she's a wild elf ranger (archer, specifically) and since I always see art of wild elves that looks more like the written descriptions of wood elves (or even sun elves) than the darker skinned wild elves, and since there's not so many black lady elves out there in fantasy art, I imagine despite the anachronistic elements some people might like to use this one!
Here's the finished version. I also have the sizes cut work with the original BG2. I was thinking of editing an Imoen next since I can't seem to find a model I really like to make an assimir out of.
@SharGuidesMyHand Sure! I can give it a try tomorrow. I was actually looking for a new model to practice more with. Do you have a higher quality of it?
I just finished a personal edit that turns John Barrowman into Xan. I just couldn't stand seeing Jude's face anymore.

czech, rather ... czechoslovakia was long gone by the time she did the photo shooting that lead to viconia's profile picture.
Wait, what? Now that I got used to the Roman Empire speaking German...
I'm pretty sure she was Czechoslovakian at the time of her birth. In all animals that have to exit through a rear cavity of their mother, that's what I take into account. Not conception, not photoshoots, not being stranded on a beach in Tanzania.

being pretty sure sure is pretty, i admit that -- but please care to elaborate on the relevance of her citizenship at the time of her birth in regard to her ethnicity and current nationality.

As a stalwart believer in TRUTH, you might enjoy reading Richard Dawkins rather than my posts. I hear the guy is pretty good at TRUTH. My posts, on the other hand, are entirely and by design devoid of any and all TRUTH. So, sorry, you won't enjoy them or agree with them.
here's some stuff that i had been working on for a while. i must admit that i don't like the bg2 style at all, it never appealed to me. i looked for something more in the vein of traditional art, and turned to the convenient option of "neural paintings" which make batch processing of images with a consistent style/look possible, as i want to assign a profile picture to every npc with dialogue/text in the game.
first few finished pics are of orcs, well known freedom fighters and all-around good folk.
Hello! Is it at all possible to baldurize this pic of me or do I need something more high quality and less expressive? I was after a roguish character. Thanks!

@SharGuidesMyHand Here you go. The skin/original photo was really.. low res? and I'm not brave enough to completely repaint the skin from scratch. It was my first time however painting hair from scratch!

This is what I got so far. I really, really appreciate stock models. Also Famke's armor was a life saver.
I was torn between making an elfish girl or an aasimir. There's lots of things that still need fixing, like the skin and stuff.
I was wondering if someone could lend their "Baldurizing" skills to this picture here:
My one request would be that the background be changed or tweaked somehow to look like anything other than the modern setting that it currently shows.
Thanks in advance.

This is the largest-sized image of the girl that I can find: http://orig03.deviantart.net/c490/f/2014/194/9/a/barbarian_girl___oroko___japan_expo_2014_by_ptiquelu-d7qh3rv.jpg

even gods aren't anymore what they never used to be at the time of their birth.

End of thread derailment.
