If you're running out of good portraits for an all druid party, you might be interested in these two that I 'shopped from existing ones:
The left one is the IWD2 "Barbarian" portrait, with all the fighter weapons removed and replaced with dual-wield Scimitars, and cropped to fit the "from the shin up" layout of the other IWD portraits. The right one is an IWD "Mage" portrait, without the bow+arrows+sword that she was carrying on her back.

I agree.
The Vale does have its charm, but from entering the Vale to where you meet Mysos, is probably the longest segment in the game without any dialog (or even interesting notes or books) to distract you - just combat, combat, combat.
Someone should make a mod that adds a little quest content, or even just some flavor dialog or text, to those areas.
Shapeshifter (close combat and leader because of easy dump stats) - dual daggers Fighter/Druid (close combat) - dual scimitars Avenger (dps) - spear Totem (summons) - staff
Add last 2 to taste. But everyone has stoneskin for durability. I'd personally take another shapeshifter (as equipment won't matter too much)
Insane durability and lots of healing
---
Or a full 'pack' of 6 shapeshifters. Equipment wouldn't matter. Everyone can fight in close combat or cast. Everyone can heal. It would look cool visually as well.
No - it relies on the Faiths & Powers sphere system.
(Under the hood, it's just a cleric/thief with a custom cleric kit call "druid," and access to druid spell spheres, and the Turn Undead button disabled. (And in the current build I actually forgot to disable TU ))
Does it get other Druid abilities like Shapechange?
I like the idea of an all or mostly Bard party 1 Vanilla Bard 1 Blade 1 Skale 1 Jester add gnome illiuinist/thief as their agent and manager and a dwarf fighter/cleric as the roadie that does all the dirty work

What are their instruments?
The Vanilla Bard sings and plays the acustic guitar. He's cute and has nice hair. He appeals the most to all the fan-girls' mothers. The Blade shreds the electric guitar. He's kinda dangerous and emo and most of the fan-girls dig him the most. He wears mostly black, smokes, has alot of tattooes and drinks only whisky. The Skald is the big talker of the group. He plays the bass, but secretely wants to be the front-man of the group so whenever they are interviewed he tries to take over but most questions are always directed to the frontman Bard of the group. He sits at home and practices guitar, but he will never play and sing as good as the vanilla bard. He has one song though which he performs on all gigs. The Jester is the crazy drum player. He does all kind of weird shit on stage and play wearing just a diaper. He has colorful hair and tries his best to be seen from behind the rest of the group. He does alot of coke, trying to be the coolest and funniest all the time. Secretely he just want to be cuddled but usually he acts out like a kid with ADHD. The Gnome/Illusionist is the sleazy manager providing drugs and hookers to the group. The dwarf F/C is the roadie, strong, burly and quiet. He has a massive beard, sunglasses and has worn the same unwashed band t-shirt for the last two years.

Update: They're part of my IWD:EE Portrait Variations mod now.
Update 2: And now also of my Icewind Dale style portrait collection, which contains some additional Druid portraits as well.

Is it available as a stand-alone mod?
1 Vanilla Bard
1 Blade
1 Skale
1 Jester
add gnome illiuinist/thief as their agent and manager
and a dwarf fighter/cleric as the roadie that does all the dirty work
