Classes You Really Want in Baldur's Gate

I am sure there is mods for this, but for me there is one class that is within Icewind Dale, Neverwinter, but not Baldur's Gate and that is my favourite class. BARD, this is my favourite class and if I could I would make my character a bard, it seems odd they got people like Volo, Eldoth and that poet, but not the actual class. I am pretty sure BG2 did not implement it either.
I will stand corrected if I am wrong though, I am pretty sure though Bards were only in Neverwinter and Icewind Dale...

A dread necromancer.
All the Cleric and Wizard Necromancy spells on one class+some other necromantically flavored powers.
I mean I could play a Mage/Cleric (and in fact I do) but I like single classes more than multi.
Thankfully, they're already there.
But also, Warlock.
Warrior- Fighter, Ranger, Paladin, Barbarian
Priest- Cleric, Druid, Monk
Wizard- Mage, Sorcerer
Rogue- Thief, Bard
Wasn't there some sort of division in the Manuel or something based on that?
For now, I'm just glad we get the Shaman class though.
The Witch in AD&D on the other hand is a Wizard kit which can be found in The Complete Wizard's Handbook as well. She also centers around familiars, brewing potions, charming enemies, but suffers some nasty witch curses. Other editions of D&D also have the Witch class. From what I remember they retained their connection to curses/hexes and brewing potions, but became spontanious spellcasters.
Or a Monk with Thieving ability(AFAIK he should have as per PnP rules)
Another one I would like to see is a Spellblade with temporary weapon enchantments, touch range combat spells and combat protections.
Warlord. A fighter with shouts that work like AoE-buffs, and they also effect enemies. Their very presence in the battlefield turns the tide in your favor.
Maybe those three are enough for now. I have others in mind as well, and I also agree with many of you above. Who doesn't love classes?
