@Bjjorick How the devil are you Sir! Yes you made a bet... I made the poll! May as well anounce the results of that right here... Bjjorick stated that in a fight between an epic host of Characters including Darth Vader, Superman and others, Batman would get more votes than James Bond. Being sporting Bjjorick even voted James Bond to give me a sporting chance... And the winner is after 115 votes...
BATMAN! With 12% of the votes
JAMES BOND at least defeated Optimus Prime with 6% of the votes.
ELMINSTER won overall with 31% of the votes.

Did anyone else notice that ALL of the sexuality based polls got closed? I didn't give a rat's ass about them until I noticed that they were all closed. It made me curious as to why they were closed and I had to look at them at that point. The odd thing is, is that only one, I think was getting all flamey. I know some people were annoyed with them, but that doesn't mean they had to look at or comment on them. I think that maybe they were closed prematurely. Don't people have a right to post any BG-related content on here so long as it doesn't break the forum rules and doesn't turn into a flame war? I think a lot of threads are dumb, it doesn't mean I think they should be closed though...
I really like answering polls about Baldur's Gate, seeing the results, and reading what other people say about them.
I spent a long time trying to think of the first poll I would make that people on here would find interesting and funny and which would lead to interesting conversations. I looked at the existing polls which were popular and when I found something that sparked an idea similar to one of the more popular polls while playing BG, I created a poll about it. I also created a serious poll about a topic I am really interested in and wanted to know what other people thought. Unfortunately, a number of people didn't like them and just complained.
I still really like answering polls and will continue to do so, but now I'm hesitant to create more of my own since the point in doing so is to spark conversations with people about mutually interesting topics; not to listen to repeated tirades from people who don't share those interests and who are evidently incapable of reading the titles before clicking on posts.
What annoys me in polls, if they are created to really start a discussion, but the discussion is started by giving some poll options to start the discussion, without any opening moves for the discussion by the topic starter. At the least, you should properly phrase the dilemma you want to talk about and second, it's also nice if you take the time to phrase an opening stance, a proposition people can agree with or not, in the opening post. Just giving some poll-options and waiting for reactions, is laziness. If you're that lazy, fine, but don't open a discussion.

lol, bond is cool but batman is more mainstream, as bond just has movies, batman has movies, comics, cartoons, etc. No hard feelings bro.

BTW, I totally agree with @MedullaOblongata. Polls are awesome!
