    Hi @Agerio (great job you are doing btw) and @Ortelim, unfortunately I also haven't use Project Infinity.

    I use Batch files which I suspect that you could also build something similar on an Android/Linux platform. It doesn't do everything for you though. You need to do a lot of work in determining what modules within the mods you want (for the component numbers) and the order of install, but once it is setup, you can change the order and reinstall very quickly and easily just by editing and rerunning the batch. If you want more said about that I can help, but I don't know of any other tool that could do the job for you on Android.

    @Ortelim, if you have a PC, then you wont need to get the desktop version for the batch file, as you can build a modding area with the Android version on your PC. Although this is a little old now, the Preparation section of this discussion will describe how to set it up on PC.

    Is that's still applicable for 2.6? Also it seems a lot of work... though, I think you could help me with something else. Can you please kindly send me your "weidu_external" folder on your BG game directory from your PC? Most of the errors I was getting were the missing files on "weidu_external/workspace/ssl_out/-". The likes of Wheels(WoP), Will(WtP), SCS mods and more, I couldn't get to install because my ssl_out folder is missing some .baf and .cre files.

    Hi @Ortelim, it is still applicable for 2.6, although if you were to get the desktop version, even though they differ in versions, the dialog.tlk is the same size allowing the mods to work without any problems.

    Unfortunately the 'weidu_external' folder is created and modified by the mods that use it. What I have in my folder isn't likely to be what you need (I don't have any mods at the moment that use /ssl_out/).

    What you can do upon any new installation is to make sure that the folder is deleted before installing any mods. If you have been playing with them (installing and removing and reinstalling etc) then the data in the folder may be irrelevant. When I clear everything (ie: start at vanilla) out to reinstall a new package of mods, I always delete this folder. I started doing this due to some problems earlier where the folder was creating similar problems you are getting now.

    Hopefully this will clear up your problems.

    What is the message that teaches how to put mods on android with Baldur's Gate EE version 2.6? There are so many messages that I'm lost 😭

    Hey @Gusinda I've been testing around with modding on android , and mostly got everything to work well , though anytime I want to mod anything related to game Ai I can't substitute a PC for that.

    Do you possibly know what the issue is that causes that for me, whether I need to install a package into my termux or somthing?

    (@Sidney I'll try to post a simple guide soon that anyone can understand, I know the guides posted aren't really straightforward, as I used them but still had to piece a lot of stuff myself).

    Hi @DraikenWeAre, sorry for the delay but we have been very busy of late...

    Not really sure but what are you trying to mod; scripts? Not sure how that would be done on Android, unless you can decompile the script itself. What editor are you using?

    It's ok @Gusinda, I've honestly never met a person as attentive as you are on the Internet before.

    Anyway I actually figured it out just before you replied, by asking on discord.
    I found out Ai in Infinity Engine games is encoded using SSL using a Pearl Compiler , which isn't automatically installed in Termux by default.

    Once I installed the perl compiler using "pkg install perl" perl command I was able to do what I wanted from my phone.

    I'm just trying to see whats required if a person was truthfully to mod from android without any laptop or PC , so I've been throughly going through everything modding games separately and also together as EET on Android, without the perl compiler I couldn't actually install SCS Ai Components or any other Ai based mod.

    I'm mostly done now , just checking things here and there then I'll post a "simpler" guide than what I've been seeing around here.

    Hello, I'm back once again. I gave up months ago on installing mods I was getting so many errors that I didn't even bother with it, but came back when Baldur's Gate 3 came out (not right away) and saw @DraikenWeAre idiot's guide, and the reason for that was perl not being installed, it fixed most of the install errors I got back then. Now. . . I finished my installation of mods but my game stops for whatever reason whenever I reach the start menu screen and the music playing on the background, idk why. I am only able to watch and finish the classic bg1 intro cutscene after that it just crashes. Can you guys please help me with this, and look through my weidu-log—on what could've (I) possibly done/went wrong? Using V2.6.6.10

    @Ortelim Just woke up, so I'll just say what I can and still check further.

    Firstly I noticed you didn't Install EET_end from EET , which while I don't think that's the issue ,it does lead to other issues not related to crashing (BG1 Charecters will have BG2 script instead and other stuff)

    Secondly It might actually have to do with Generalised Biffing , I know Agerio says to install it , but for me it causes more problems than its worth , so it might not just be interacting well with your device.
    I know it didn't with mine, and it honestly makes wanting to futher edit mods tedious.

    (Its supposed to make the game be read faster by Linux devices , but it changes the encoding of the actual game files , which means your device is maybe looking for the correct files in the correct place , but they aren't in that place)

    @Ortelim try installing the eet_end after you've installed stratagems, also ask the people in infinity engine server on discord to review your mod order also I'm sorry for the frustrations on the perl because I already know of that issue for awhile but i didn't add it because i assume at the time that people would discover it on debug anyway. I'm gonna add it on my guide. If you still having crashes let me know.

Also could you kindly tell me what issues your experiencing.

    What exactly changed between android 10 and 11 thats causes the slow rate to obb and does it affect up to android 13.
    (I ask cause I was going to buy a new device soon).

    The throttling that happens in what Android considers user space, to the best of my knowledge, is the standard now.

    Once you get outside user space, with a rooted device, transfer rates are back to normal. The problems I've run into there are those of permissions and case.

    You'll have to run tolower on every mod, folder, and destination. As well as having to run sudo before any weidu commands, which opens up a whole other slate of case and destination problems.

    I've been working on and off on a similar project but have been absent for some time. @Agerio and I were doing work individually and collaboratively a touch about the time they released their guide. I'll attach a link to some resources I compiled in the past, though some might be outdated.

    All that being said, I have been able to create a stable eet environment with all the big and little name mods that I have tried, including scs, on 2.6 without use of a pc. I'm guessing that perl dependency you found could have saved a lot of headache though. I had wanted to compile a guide with all the info in a well lain out format as well, as these threads have gotten quite long, but haven't gotten to it and have no idea when I will. Hopefully some of the info and links I share are some help. Look forward to seeing your progress!

    Soo it's a device performance issue then. Tbh You better to just start over with a planned out mod order instead of changing things around with your existing modded files because your doing of things would probably not work well for you for appearently it's an onion structure aka the more things you peel off(uninstall mods) the more chances that something will change and in turn propably break either your install process or your save.

    asking here as well.. it seems like in android 13 at least on my pixel 7, I can no longer access the android data folder.. I can see the Baldur's gate folder but it appears to be empty and I can't add anything or edit it in any way.. which made installing mods ( or even adding portraits or editing saves) impossible.. anyone know of a workaround?

    Hi, I'm trying to reinstall EET using Android (previously installed using PC, now trying out the Android method), and have encountered 2 problems.
    First one being, when installing EET setup, it ended with 'INSTALLED WITH WARNINGS EET core (resource importation)'.
    The warnings had something to do with the 'UI.MENU'.

    Secondly, I tried to run EET_end after finish adding mods, and Termux seems to be stuck. It always gets stuck on:
    Patching RSGAMAZ_BCS: RASAADJ_ => RASAADJ - dlg
    Copying and patching 8435 files...

    I've attached the setup-eet.debug file as a text file. Hope someone can clarify whether the warnings are ok or not.
    As for the second issue, anyone has any idea how to solve the freezing? I've been leaving it to run for 4 hours already.

    @GloriousCheese the first issue is a normal occurance and the second issue is also normal since installing mods on termux can be very slow due to changes on android 11 and above, see this post for more details, Personally I've seen it last longer than 4 hours, in my case it gets stuck on imoen.dlg. All in all as long as it doesn't fail to install, you should be fine.

    Yes, those portraits are part of a dlc portrait pack if you meant the portraits below. Unfortunately I can't tell you how to fix this for obvious reasons, but I can tell that it's solvable.

    As suggested by Agerio above : placing your modded files on "Android/obb/com.beamdog.xxx" beside the main and Patch obbs (from my PC) seems to work.
    I still have to rename dialog files from obb file.

    Everything seems perfect in both BG1EE and BG2EE.
    Does someone know how to edit baldur.lua file that is not there/accessible anymore ?
    I have an old baldur.lua but :
    Putting Baldur.lua in Android\obb\com.beamdog.baldursgateenhancededition does NOT work
    Putting Baldur.lua in Android\obb\com.beamdog.baldursgateenhancededition\override does NOT work
