Glabrezu and Nabassu sprites, et all (Am I crazy?)

Am I crazy, or did the Glabrezu used to use the same sprite as the Nabassu? I don't remember seeing the big bad horned dog demons with crab claws until recently, even though I had Throne of Bhaal the day it was released, so I don't think that's when the sprite was replaced... I've tried searching, but can't find the scoop on this.

    Yup. I believe the four-armed Glabrezu animation only arrived after IWD or IWD2 came out. Cornugons had a similar thing.

    Did EE add them or had it been part of a ToB patch?

    No idea. I saw them before EE, but I always play with SCS, and that may be the reason I had the correct animations in my games.

    IIRC they were assigned the wrong sprite and the BG2 Fixpack fixed it. Not 100% sure on this though...

    I'm pretty sure i saw pincered Glabrezu in old BG2. Not sure if every one of them was correct, though. And, i never played a game without fixpack.

    I think I do remember seeing them a few years ago when I was running the BGT mod with the G3 fixpack, but it was only when I fought Irenicus that I noticed them. I started this thread because there was one in the Guarded Compound that I specifically remember using the "balor" model before.

    The Guarded Compound demon is a Nabassu, not a Glabrezu.

    It was a glabrezu, model and name, for me. Is level scaling in play? My four-person party averages level 15.

    Odd. I remember on my first run of BG2 seeing the name Nabassu and thought it sounded cool. Yet these days with EE and SCS I see no demon at all. Maybe it's level scaling; Glabrezus are much more dangerous.
