Back to level 1 for everyone! Seven people allowed in the party.

Our starting Party is: Tamoko, played by @Katastrophe, Xan played by @Communard, Minsc, played by @reedmilfam, Edwin, played by @Delvarian, Mazzy Fentan, played by @Minevese, Kivan the Horny played by @Awong124 and Yoshimo, played by @Jhart1018

    Okay, stats and whatnot-

    Edwin- Level 1 Magic User S9, Dex10, Con 16, Int 18, Wis 9, Cha 10 hp 5
    Kivan- Level 1 Ranger S18/12, Dex 17, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 14 Cha 8 hp 5
    Mazzy- Level 1 Fighter S15, Dex 18, Con 16, Int 10, Wis 13, Cha 14 hp 10
    Minsc- Level 1 Ranger S18/93 Dex 15, Con 15, Int 8, Wis 6, Cha 9 hp 9
    Tamoko- Level 1 Cleric S17, Dex 17, Con 15, Int 13, Wis 17, Cha 16 hp 7
    Xan- Level 1 Magic User S13, Dex 16, Con 7, Int 17, Wis 14, Cha 16 hp 3

    Kivan starts with a composite Longbow +1 and Xan has his Moonblade.

    You can purchase gear with this money.

    Spells and thief points. Edwin gets 3 first level spells. One must be a Conjuration spell. Xan gets 2. One must be an enchantment spell. Tamoko gets three first level cleric spells. Yoshimo gets the following Base thief points: Pick Pockets 25%, Open Locks 25%, Find/Remove Traps 10%, Move Silently 20%, Hide in Shadows 15%, Climb Walls 60%, Read Languages 0% You have 60 points to spend, and cannot spend more than 30 in one skill

    Are we just buying arms and armor or are we buying arms, armor, rations, rope, knapsacks, tinderboxes, torches, lockpicks, spell components, change of undies, etc.? And the 20 pack of Super Ultra Mega-size Depends, just in case...

    Okay, Yoshimo has leather armor, a shortbow, and 60 arrows. 20 are in his quiver; the other 40 are in his backpack. Said backpack also contains a week's rations, a waterskin, thieves' picks, a blanket, 2 torches, a flint and steel, and 50 ft. of hemp rope. On his way to the party's rendezvous point, he stuffs dry tinder into his pockets so he'll have somewhere for a spark to catch...

    Wow, Kivan has 19/12 STR (too bad it's probably a typo)? And the Composite Longbow +1, nice.

    Kivan's shopping list:
    - Splint Mail
    - Longsword
    - Large Shield
    - Helmet

    I just checked in IWD, I should have enough with a few gp to spare, unless you have different pricing for the items. I don't know if you actually keep track of how many arrows I use or if there's infinite arrows to make things easier. If I have to purchase arrows I'll use what's left to buy arrows.

    And another thing, I think the core rules state that level 1 characters are supposed to get full HP + CON modifier, as opposed to having to roll for hp.

    Even 2E. Whenever you start a new game for BG1, BG2, or IWD, level 1 characters always have max health even if you didn't select max hp on level up in the config.

    I did some searching, max hp at first level was an optional rule introduced in a later revised edition of 2E. So I guess both is acceptable. But Xan will probably die very quickly, lol. Kivan's kind of squishy at the moment, so he'll probably just stick to ranged combat.

    This is going to be interesting...

    Studded leather armour.
    A whip.
    A buckler.
    Enough rope to tie up a willing (or I guess unwilling) individual.
    An Iron Poker. Because.
    Rations for a week.
    A kitten. Cat food for a week (less if I can count on a little support from Boo).
    Some Candles and a small bottle full of glass shards.

    ...If I've gone over my budget, do tell.
