I'm sure that it'll be available on gog eventually, but I think that it'll take months rather than weeks

Well... A blue post confirmed that they were negotiating with GoG about a deal in another thread. But seeing as none of us are privy to any information about said deal, perhaps we can stop blaming beamdog for something that may not be their fault at all?

Is it even allowed to be that reasonable on the internet?

Good idea. Looking at the dates of EE releases on Beamdog and GOG:
    BG1EE
    Beamdog: Nov 2012
    GOG: Jan 2013

    BG2EE
    Beamdog: Nov 2013
    GOG: Nov 2013

A difference of 3 months, then? If we go by BG1EE.

At least BG2EE was a fairly quick turnaround. If nothing else previous history puts a more positive spin on it. How long did it take for IWDEE?

I think if I remember right IWDEE was released on all platform the same day. Not at the same time GOG tend to be a bit slower on this.
