Just thought I'd try and brighten the atmosphere a little bit.

Post any experiences you have had recently (or at any time) that have filled you with joy. I'll go first:

I got a promotion a couple of weeks ago. I'm now a supervisor at the gym I work at.

Congrats, dude! I just applied for a promotion too and got my fingers crossed for it.

While checking my email, I realized that someone favorited one of my stories on Fanfiction.net. Always nice to see!

I went driving up the mountains in the sunshine and revisited my childhood home. As someone who's still learning how to drive and gets pretty nervous around the wheel, this was really fun and empowering for me.

And of course while playing Siege of Dragonspear, I finally got to hear the newest voicework of Dynaheir, Minsc, and Safana! Absolutely delightful, Dynaheir especially!

I got this expansion for Baldur's Gate called Siege of Dragonspear! The download was painful, but totally worth the wait.

I have one issue with the expansion, and several with one of the developers, but far as I've played SoD it's really good. And it feels Baldur's Gatey rather than Randomly Tacked-On Downloadable Content #451, so how could it not make me happy? :-D

Also getting my university application approved last year had me smiling (something people almost never see me do!) and humming cheerfully for like 3 weeks straight. I'm still quite happy about it tbh, love this place.

I'm glad you love it. It can be difficult to settle into new surroundings, but it seems like you've taken to the task extremely well

I have reached the glorious city of Baldurs Gate in my no-reload run of BGEE, before I progress seemlessly into SoD. And I am happy!

So long as I remember which house has all those nasty baddie doom guard thingymajigs and I dont just walk in unprepared like I did in my last no-reload run, cus that didn't end so well for me!

After weeks of testing and reporting bugs and issues, rather than playing properly, I finally made time to start playing through bg with the new 2.0 patch, and I had more fun with the game than I've had since the launch of bg2ee a few years ago

I wrote a short story for a writing class, and got it back with a 100% mark and a recommendation to expand it into a novel! Also, I came into some money with which I can buy some things I've been wanting (including Siege of Dragonspear).

I went to a Magic: The Gathering draft event last night. Not only did I get to hang out with some of my closest friends (whom I don't see much anymore because Adult Life), but I also got some great cards!

I got a silly happy thought. Or rather, a silly happy experience. I always love watching birds and how they hop around in such a funny way. They're such small poofy oddballs. Therefore, if you got some free time and got nothing else to do, maybe watch these silly little creatures for a while. For some reason it always cheers me up a bit.

When I was a young rebel I dreamt of all night parties and trips to far flung places and changing the world....

Now when I get a quiet moment I like nothing more than putting some seed out on the bird table in the garden and watching through the window as the birds feed.

I wonder what my younger self would think of me now? Actually, forget that. I know full well what they would think of me!

My younger self was full of ideals back in the day. Most of them have been crushed by now. Makes it quite difficult to be motivated enough to live through every day. I have many regrets. And I think that if I could do my life over again, I would make much different choices.

Anyway: a happy thought - recently got back to modding Skyrim, I'm excited to start playing again.

...I'm in the possesion of the Siege of Dragonspear shirt I won on the stream that took place on SoD release day. And I'm very happy about it. And I cannot recall when the last time I cared so much for and cherished a shirt

World hunger is decreasing. War and violence are getting less common. Folks in India as well as America are getting more to eat, even as our population grows. Standard of living is going up almost everywhere. Internet access is spreading across the world. More and more people are getting higher education worldwide.

Also, another birthday for the United States. Technically, we got our independence on September 3, 1783, but still. Happy July 4th, everybody.
