Anomen's proficiencies?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
As the title says, I was thinking how to spend Anomen's proficiency points. Is it worth to give him any points in flails or maces? Or do you just spend everything to pump warhammer and equip him with Crom Faeyr?

    Dual wielding Flail of Ages and Defender of Easthaven works preeetty well for him.
    I'm for giving Crom Faeyr to Korgan's off hand.

    You don't need Crom Faeyr when you have Draw Upon Holy Might and Righteous Magic to buff yourself to the strength cap as is. Spreading your proficiency points too thin is unnecessary.

    Flail of Ages and Defender of Easthaven, combined with Armour of Faith and later Hardiness work wonders. This is one of the most valid options for BG2 with blunt weapons.

    Put 2 pips into flails, then put 2 pips into dualwielding, then continue to improve flails.

    No, not screwed, but you won't be as powerful as you would be with flails.

    Personally, I like to give him flails and maces as there are useful examples of both. Of course, it can depend on whether you have other party members using blunt weapons.

    The Mace of Disruption is still an awesome weapon for most of Shadows of Amn, and continues to be useful any time you fight undead in Throne of Bhaal.

    Actually, flails are pretty bad since the FoA nerf, which makes the +5 version unusable. Warhammers for Crom Faeyr is a far better alternative, unless you plan to give that baby to someone else.

    Negates the no-hasting of all free action items. I like my Flail of Ages like Yoshimo likes moving. Fleet of foot and all that.
