Unfortunately there was a mix up on our end and the wrong SSL certificate was allowed to expire. My heavy domain purchase volume (yes, I have a weakness for domain names) gives me some free SSL certificates and it seems the free ones are never the ones in use. We have the right people on the issue and it should be resolved by early next week at the latest.
The warning only appears because we are using the https address instead of an http address and we are using it without a valid SSL certificate. The site is as safe as it was before we started using SSL for it.

Sending passwords over HTTP can't really be secured though. Using HTTPS is better even with an expired certificate.
Hmm, partially fixed, but please replace the SHA1 certificate with at least a SHA2 certificate. SHA1 has been deprecated for months now and all browsers will hesitate before loading the page....well, back to the old cert for now then :-) At least consider a weekend admin, I am a 9th level Enterprise Admin so let me know.
Firefox still throws up a warning about the certificate being expired. This is my first time visiting here since the issue arose so it isn't a cache issue on my end. You may have accidentally added a permanent exception elminster, since Firefox likes to default that option to enabled.
I am not sure you realize how serious this is guys. I figured it would get fixed early Saturday. It isn't 1998 any more, this position in dealing with security isn't helpful.
It depends. I have already seen the first spam bots at work.
Different curse, only one remove curse can be cast per 24 period in the first place, but in the second through thousandth places I think the spam bot curse removal specifically requires a well chosen party of 6 Beamdog employees to go on an epic quest to a server farm at the bottom of the Marianas Trench, where all spam bots are born, to negotiate with the Overspam or destroy it utterly by exposing its insides to the crushing depths.

I hope the issue gets fixed soon; I'm having to use Explorer to access the forums and it's not a pretty sight.
Monday morning, back up, thank you.
I've just signed in from Chrome without problems. A big thank you, "the right people who worked on the issue".
