    Still pretty vague. It could be those guys that has the first pair of boots of the cheetah, I want those, it is his job to stop me, he is mean.

    EDIT: Drasus? Nimble? Those guys are mean, have som good gear I want and their job is to stop me.

    Okay, not my best draw I guess.
    So, the first hint means you don't want it for yourself or anyone else in your party.
    The third hint is a reference to someone saying specifically that about me.

    Spectator beholder? He guards stuff that others want you to fetch, it is his sworn duty to guard it and those imps (or someone else) might very well might have called him a meanie. I am not sure of the last part though.

    My guess is:

    Sorrem - from BG1 Rassad's quest - he has the location we need for Rassad's quest, he is a dark moon monk so its his job to stop us; although agreeing to help us he takes us into a trap.

    The riddle is a bit vague and seems it can apply to a variety of characters from the BG world.

    I have something you probably want, but not for yourself or anyone in your party.
    The thing I have belongs to someone who says that I'm mean.
    My job is to stop you, or anyone who isn't exactly where they should be.
