I mean, you'd need ten times ten poll options to cover all of Disney's shows during that period, but yeah, I've never seen an animated series that combined Shakespearean, Arthurian and global mythologies the way it did, and the cast was flawless.

    Spin it!

Jungle Book meets Tales of the Gold Monkey with Shere Khan as Lex Luthor!

I don't know if the airplane-based 1930's scifi genre has a name (skypunk?), but I've always liked it. My kids were right at the age to enjoy this, so I even had an excuse to watch. Darkwing Duck was a close second.

It was kind of a low point for Disney cartoons. A kind of Cars 2 Era of Disney cartoons if you will allow the comparison.

Still I dug ducktales awoo oo.

Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg
    Race cars, lasers, aeroplanes, it's a duck-blur!
    Might solve a mystery
    Or rewrite history!

    DuckTales! Woo-oo!
    Everyday they're out there making
    DuckTales! Woo-oo!
Tales of daring do bad and good
    Luck Tales!

    D-d-d danger lurks behind you
There's a stranger out to find you
What to do, just grab on to some...

Not pony tales or cotton tales, no,
    DuckTales! Woo-oo!

    Disney Afternoon version:

oi, such an unfair list of awesome shows and can only pick one? I guess I will go with chip and dale rescue rangers, that show had quite the memorable voice acting set of chums that also did other shows as well

Too recent for me. I watched Battle of the Planets in the late 70s/early 80s, and of course...

a gif running from about 20 seconds in to about 30 seconds in of that would instantly become an animated desktop background for me (from the Thunderquack soaring across the screen to the pie in his face)

    Pocahontas

I've enjoyed it since I was a little boy because it shows that she stands for much more than just the love for a guy, she tries to teach the importance of peace and acceptance, and it's the second Disney animation with a sad ending I can think of. (First one is "The fox and the hound")

I didn't know Pocahontas was a Disney television show

Did any of you have the Darkwing Duck fanny pack from Kellogg's Corn Flakes? I hated Corn Flakes, but I couldn't pass up on such a stylish and functional accessory.

I'm suprised there aren't more votes for the fantastic "Tailspin". Given that it relied a lot on parodying classic movies (everything from Casablanca to Star Wars) I wonder if it went over the heads of most of it's youthful audience?

Could be. I was well into my 20's when I watched it.

Quite, the only influences you would have been familiar with are Star Wars and Indiana Jones. You wouldn't have seen the 1930s serials (I only saw them because they where still being rerun on Saturday morning TV in the early 70s) or the Bogart movies. The other big influence was Cheers, which, whilst contemporaneous, eas very much an adult show.

I was probably a bit to old to appreciate Darkwing Duck.
