Shadowdancer questions

Even though I haven't gone past act 2 with my druid (doing all the quests I can find) I'm thinking about making a shadowdancer as it sounds stupidly OP
Few questions first:
Can Shadow Form and Shadow Twin be taken more then once?
Shadow Twin is basically Simulcram right? So you can have more then one shadow Twin just like Simulcram?
What race is best for Shadowdancer, Elf?
Cloak of Non-detection makes hide in shadows undispellable right? I keep seeing conflicting info on whether it works with just spells or just hide in shadows or works on both
Due to low ability points is best to use the shadow gear received from Renald Scalcap right?
If question 1 and 2 are correct I plan on using Shadow Twin to chain backstabs together to offset the low backatab multiplier will this work out to be the same as a normal thiefs damage?
What weapons and weapon style should I go?

- Stealth mode is protected.
- Shadow Form HLA is protected.
- Most Invisibility SPELLS are not protected.
- Most Invisibility ITEMS are protected. Items that are protected include: Staff of the Magi, Dagger of the Star (both versions), Potion of Invisibility, Ring of Gaxx, Sandthief Ring, The Specter's Ring. Bet on all other Invisibility items not being protected.
I am not sure what shadow gear you mean, but I think you will find that you have enough skill points to be perfectly stealthy without the aid of items (except for maybe early on). If you do not have a backup thief, then it may take longer to get your stealth perfected, but you should still be able to do it fairly quickly. No, the Shadow Twins are simulacrums of you. They will also be shadowdancers and will also be able to use HiPS and will also have a shadowdancer's backstab progression. Keep in mind that their level is 60% of your current level so they may have a weaker backstab. This one is also very likely to be up to your personal preference.I hope this helps. In one of my own runs I used my engine knowledge and EEKeeper to make a Berserker->Shadowdancer dual class. It was INSANELY overpowered. Not doing an illegal dual class like this is likely a tad less gamebreaking, but still quite capable.
By shadow gear I mean the items you get from Reynald when you kill Mae'Var, I'm also playing single character.
So having the main character doing 3x back stab and the Shadow Twins dealing 2x won't be good?
And yeah that is an old exploit with simulacrums. They are basically perfect clones of you except they get level drained to 60% of your level.
As for your Shadow Twin vs. Simulacrum questions perhaps I can answer them all by saying this: There is absolutely no difference between the two. Both the Shadow Twin HLA and the Simulacrum spell use the exact same opcode to make their clones. Think of them as the same thing, because they pretty much are.
By the way, I did the math and, by the time you can actually get the Shadow Twin ability, both you and your clone will be doing x4 backstabs.
