Wilson?

I recently saw an article about a NPC named Wilson (who is a literal Bear) who can be recruited near the Heretic Temple. Is this real or a joke somebody posted. I mean, I imagine it's a joke regardless but I wanted to see if he was a real NPC

No he's real. Beamdog are madmen but it paid off because it's pretty entertaining.

Mechanically, he plays pretty much identically to a Kensai.

He's the cat's pajamas. Or should I say, the bear's pajamas....

Wilson is unique among characters in that he actually changes stats as he levels up - his STR score will increase over time. Comparing it to a Kensai is a good analogy, though there are some differences (like carry weight, lock bashing, etc.).

Also has an enrage ability.
