How old is your Ascension? This bug was a problem back when the EE was first released. I haven't seen this issue in a few updates.
Ive gone through several attempts and have SCS running and wanted to ask some bug inquiries/tips and included a pic of my setup pre-final battle by a few seconds and after it starts...illasera is the one in mid air croaking
Even with killing off both illasera & gromnir off the start with the skulltraps/d.fireballs and taking abazigal down to half and finishing off sendai with my whole party quick before she uses her onyx ring i have several problems... - Amelyssan comes and soon summons fallen devas which can one shot kill my mages no matter what defense I put up?? and they chunk my tanks 2 shots and use quake?? probably my biggest hassle - When she uses timestop and balthazar should be immune but at times he freezes too even in between the TS (glitch?) and "focus" is a pain to use at the right moment her TS goes off - Imprison seems to work on yagashura, is this a glitch and does it screw up killing off Amelyssan in the end? - Abazigal is a major problem and only once was able to take him down as his protections keep coming back and Amelyssan keeps summoning more and more demons until Im overwhelmed...the control never seems to work and unleash seems like not worth it as either...
@brunardo I have never run Ascension with SCS, so maybe this will be helpful, maybe not. -Amelyssan normally summons demons without SCS so I'm afraid I can't help you there (though the "fallen" line of celestials have vorpal weapons so no, you can't defend against it other than by not being hit. -Yeah, Balthazar should be completely immune, I haven't seen that bug in myplaythroughs, so it may be introduced by SCS. These two mods tend to not play nice. -Unless SCS changes this part of her scripting, Amelyssan WILL hit your charname with IW when she gets timestop off, so it takes practice, but you will NEED to get the timing down for focus. The special Bhall abilities Ascension grants you are tailor made to counter Amelyssan. -Not sure about the Yagashura imprison. I've never cast that spell in my life. -Funnily enough, I never realized Abazigal HAD spell casting in this fight until seeing other people mention here on the forums. If you have someone occupy him in melee, he won't cast any spells. Unless of course SCS changes that.

I have similar problems with my current install. I tried to analyse the error in the case of Tougher Abazigal but failed. The installation originaly failed with the following entry in the log:

Thanx @ThacoBell and must be SCS changing the script then changing abizagal and finally got it done but got lucky as Amellysan didnt use one time stop...a big part was I went right aftr Sendai, mazed Yaga and focused on Abazigal so Amellysan seemed confused at times or even "kiting" and just summoned demons which I made sure I jumped on, especially the devas, and spammed M. Swords and Jug Golems to soak up hits...even with just Amelysan left she did not go down easy and took a 10 person gang beat down with GW on half of them wailing and finally went down for the count...
2nd time doing Ascension and really makes the whole game better and loved having Balthazar on the team and the roleplaying options with him....SCS is also a must have when I do my next BG trilogy run!

It's not that @1009 does not exist somewhere, it's that the instruction to load a tra file to get that @1009 loaded when components are installed that is missing. Only setup.tra is permanently loaded (and it does not have a @1009), other tra files are loaded upon request only.
Obviously you don't want @1009 from balth2.tra applied, as it's a dialog line and not a spell name. A better option is in ascension.tra ("Telekinesis").
Try adding LOAD_TRA ~ascension/tra/%LANGUAGE%/ascension.tra~ immediately before INCLUDE ~ascension/lib/tougherabazigal.tpa~ in file Ascension.tp2

Thank you so much Isaya, that did the trick for all encountered errors in the modules 'Tougher Abazigal', 'Tougher Yaga-Shura' and 'Restored Bhaalspawn Powers'. It seems to me to be a bug within the install script that should be fixed, either via fixpack or via the mod itself (if the authors of either of them are reading this thread).

Sorry if this is kind of a dumb question, but I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to specific mod authors - why does this seem to be an issue to some people here? I was glad that there was a new non-beta release version after quite some time of inactivity, assuming that if the author was able to publish a version on the github page, they have to be part of the mod development team. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for any insight on that matter.

Anyone can review her commits to the project; they're just bugfixes. I understand the mistrust:goodwill ratio here is effectively infinite, and it's not undeserved, but passing judgement without evidence isn't good for anyone involved.
Now, I've got a working version with the latest DS package and everything installs without errors/warnings on both my latest BG2EE nightly (2.6 dev build), oBG2 w/Fixpack, and an EET game built from RC 11.2 (latest EET) and the latest retail SoD and BG2EE (2.5). For you folks who are getting warnings, e.g.
This is because the mod still uses REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK or R_B_B, an ancient way to find-and-replace blocks in a script. If you encounter these, you can help me stamp these out by opening up the SETUP-ASCENSION.DEBUG and finding these warnings and seeing what file it's patching. From the warning, just look down until you find a line mentioning the copy, something like
That 'Copied ...' line tells you what file it failed to patch, and that's the file I need you to post/send to me (along with the DEBUG) so I can determine how the specific R_B_B is failing.

- it is impossible to get access to the 3 pools in final battle, there is no bridge bettwen the big platform and the pools. So I have to do Ctrl+j to get access to the pools.
-After Ctrl+j to all three pools , fighting demons at each one, and then grabbing the essence from each, nothing happens. My party justs sits there, no Melissan. Is there a variable or event I can instigate to push the story forward ? ( I copy/past from another player but I have exactly the same bug)
Because on the first page the different links give different Ascension numbers.
Even with killing off both illasera & gromnir off the start with the skulltraps/d.fireballs and taking abazigal down to half and finishing off sendai with my whole party quick before she uses her onyx ring i have several problems...
- Amelyssan comes and soon summons fallen devas which can one shot kill my mages no matter what defense I put up?? and they chunk my tanks 2 shots and use quake?? probably my biggest hassle
- When she uses timestop and balthazar should be immune but at times he freezes too even in between the TS (glitch?) and "focus" is a pain to use at the right moment her TS goes off
- Imprison seems to work on yagashura, is this a glitch and does it screw up killing off Amelyssan in the end?
- Abazigal is a major problem and only once was able to take him down as his protections keep coming back and Amelyssan keeps summoning more and more demons until Im overwhelmed...the control never seems to work and unleash seems like not worth it as either...
Any advice or help much appreciated!
-Amelyssan normally summons demons without SCS so I'm afraid I can't help you there (though the "fallen" line of celestials have vorpal weapons so no, you can't defend against it other than by not being hit.
-Yeah, Balthazar should be completely immune, I haven't seen that bug in myplaythroughs, so it may be introduced by SCS. These two mods tend to not play nice.
-Unless SCS changes this part of her scripting, Amelyssan WILL hit your charname with IW when she gets timestop off, so it takes practice, but you will NEED to get the timing down for focus. The special Bhall abilities Ascension grants you are tailor made to counter Amelyssan.
-Not sure about the Yagashura imprison. I've never cast that spell in my life.
-Funnily enough, I never realized Abazigal HAD spell casting in this fight until seeing other people mention here on the forums. If you have someone occupy him in melee, he won't cast any spells. Unless of course SCS changes that.

However as far as I can tell there is a translation @1009 in balth2.tra. So I don't understand the error. Any help would be really appreciated.
2nd time doing Ascension and really makes the whole game better and loved having Balthazar on the team and the roleplaying options with him....SCS is also a must have when I do my next BG trilogy run!
Obviously you don't want @1009 from balth2.tra applied, as it's a dialog line and not a spell name.
A better option is in ascension.tra ("Telekinesis").
Try adding
LOAD_TRA ~ascension/tra/%LANGUAGE%/ascension.tra~
immediately before
INCLUDE ~ascension/lib/tougherabazigal.tpa~
in file Ascension.tp2

Now, I've got a working version with the latest DS package and everything installs without errors/warnings on both my latest BG2EE nightly (2.6 dev build), oBG2 w/Fixpack, and an EET game built from RC 11.2 (latest EET) and the latest retail SoD and BG2EE (2.5). For you folks who are getting warnings, e.g. This is because the mod still uses REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK or R_B_B, an ancient way to find-and-replace blocks in a script. If you encounter these, you can help me stamp these out by opening up the SETUP-ASCENSION.DEBUG and finding these warnings and seeing what file it's patching. From the warning, just look down until you find a line mentioning the copy, something like That 'Copied ...' line tells you what file it failed to patch, and that's the file I need you to post/send to me (along with the DEBUG) so I can determine how the specific R_B_B is failing.
