OP multiclass EEKeeper in No Reload eh

Wild Mage in a no reload? :#

Barbarian/Druid would be the easiest (and my recommendation).
Speedy, GREAT summons, Barbarian rage to avoid game ending things like Maze, Could potentially hit over 100% Physical Resistance thanks to the Druid to get Armor of Faith.

Barbarian rage does not make you immune to maze :P

What's the op multiclass you're referring to?
  • deltagodeltago Member Posts: 7,811
Both Kensai/Mage and Old School Ranger/Clerics are considered OP.

A wild mage no reload, taking the good with the bad would be fun IMO.

It does. Unlike berserker rage it doesn't give immunity to imprisonment as well though.

@Enuhal: Is that the solo list or the list in general?

@semiticgod This is the general list. I don't maintain a seperate solo list (which would be much longer).

That’s a very surprising list, @Enuhal. No specialist mage except Enchanter and Wild mage (of all things !!). No Bounty Hunter, no cleric/ranger. No single class cleric. Seems there’s still plenty of work to do !

@Arctodus Well, Priest of Lathander is a single class cleric with at least one success. Still, single-class divine spellcasters really fall off in the lategame compared to what other classes can do, which is propably why they aren't a popular choice. The missing bounty hunter is indeed a bit confusing, and I'd imagine that at some point, someone will finish a run with that kit; As for the specialist mages, my thinking is that they're rarely played because of the popularity and universal power of sorcerers. The Wild Mage success is, iirc, the result of @Grond0 trying to run one over and over again until he finally stopped having bad luck with wild surges for once.

Is that trilogy, tetrology or simply SoA+ToB?
    Also, are odd duals included?

@Iroumen Only full runs (which means trilogy in vanilla or pre-SoD EE and tetralogy in current EE) are included; SoA+ToB only runs are not part of the list.

Duals are not included at all, simply because the list of possible combinations is simply too high - as even within the same dual combination, dualling on different levels can arguably lead to very different results. That's why I basically decided to only include classes/kits/multis which you can directly choose during character creation.

That is still very interesting. I am doing SoA ToB currently but maybe i should also do a solo tetra one of these days

The runs that ended in success minimized the risk to a pretty low level through playing the game in a particular way, so I don't think much luck was needed in the successful run. However, that success was in a BGT installation and was made far easier by being able to stack chaos shields in a sequencer in order to eliminate the possibility of spell failure later in the game. That's not possible in the EE, which means bad luck becomes a much greater possibility (as I found out when imprisoning myself late on in ToB) ...

The missing Bounty Hunter run is an anomaly. @Blackraven got very far in his solo no-reload Bounty Hunter run, @Alesia_BH (who more or less invented the Bounty Hunter metagame) made it to the end of ToB with a solo no-reload Bounty Hunter before dying at Melissan, and @Harpagornis nearly took down Melissan as well in a solo no-reload Legacy of Bhaal mode run. The kit is perfectly capable of handling the challenge, even solo, and has been used by three extremely talented players (who are the only reason we know it's doable in the first place), but due to chance, those three Bounty Hunters just barely failed to make it past ToB.

@semiticgod, did they abuse the traps?
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
@Arthas: I believe all three had the vanilla ToB limit of 7 traps on hand at once, so spamming traps infinitely was not an option. Spike Traps were certainly a part of high-level gameplay, but Maze traps are just as important, if not more so. Maze traps can apply an area-effect Maze that bypasses magic resistance and offers no saving throws, which is extremely important for handling enemy pressure. They're instrumental in dealing with Ascension Melissan and the Five.

isn't maze just temporary, though? So if you maze one of the five, they'll come back after a certain amount of time..
  • semiticgoddesssemiticgoddess Member Posts: 14,903
@Arthas: That's actually a good thing. They each come back at a different time, which means you can deal with them one at a time. It also means you can set new traps so that whoever comes back first takes a lot of trap damage all at once.

    Understood. Thank you.

    Hey;

If you're looking to do something new, here's a list of all the classes that haven't had a full documented no-reload success in these forums or the old bioware forums:

    Dwarven Defender
    Stalker
    Priest of Helm
    Priest of Talos
    Priest of Tempus
    Priest of Tyr
    Shapeshifter
    Shadow Dancer
    Fighter/Druid
    Fighter/Mage/Cleric

Really? All these classes are kind of strong!
