I think as far as priest spells go, a high wisdom only gives you an extra spell slot or two for low level spells. High wisdom also gives bonuses to saves. But BG won't let you have a stat too low to use a class's abilities, I'm pretty sure. You'll still be able to cast spells, just not as many as you could with a higher WIS.

I don't think Wisdom based bonuses to saves are implemented. They never have been and are not mentioned or charted in the new manual.
Not the best physical ones, but it's a mean sorcerer who will kick ass at higher levels, anyway. Besides, he's got that cool bald black guy portrait from Jason Manley ;D
Are you aware of the fact, that the prime stat for a Sorcerer in 2.0E is not CHA, but INT?
While dicking around in Black Pits character creation, it farted out a Skald with nothing lower than a 15 in ever stat. I was more angry at the rolls being wasted on a class that hardly cares about stats than excited at the high rolls.
Hehe.. thanks.. actually I made/edited them from some fantasy pics I found on the net.. I think the original pic of my sorceress was from deviantART.. but I'm not certain.. - well and the priestess.. I can't remember where I got her original pic from, but she was actually blind on her left side on the original one (you can still see the scar), so I edited the pic to give her that lovely blue "2nd" eye back ...
Normally I wouldnt reroll, but I wanted 5 less points in open locks. This time I got 91 points, and set him up for a double - triple playthrough with tome additions taken into mind.

I grinded like mad... basically. Have been playing the original BG excessively since 1998, so I know a few ways to make some fast XP.
But here's my dwarven fighter:
Str: 18/23 (str tome will fix that)
Dex: 17
Con: 19
Int: 10
Wis: 8
Cha: 16
Total: 88
Rolled 90 on my halfling Assassin:
Str: 17

So after 2 playthroughs he would have:
20 str
20 dex
20 con
19 int
18 wis
10 cha
18/05
