The only real critique I have of your distribution is that 2 points of your Constitution score are going to waste immediately. Only the fighter, ranger, paladin and barbarian classes benefit from a Constitution score over 16.
If, however, tomes are considered for your PC as well; then Dexterity would only benefit on the ranged thAC0 front, you don't get another AC bonus going from 18 to 19 than you do 17 to 18. Also you could start with 15 Constitution and hit your classes maximum benefit when you Tome to 16. So there's 4 points that could justifiably be elsewhere (unless you really need that ranged thAC0).
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Charisma. In every playthrough previous, I've maxed it. But people say to try it as a dump stat once to see the difference it makes. Though I plan to make use of the Friends spell.
I'll also gain 3 Charisma total from the tome, machine of Lum the Mad, and the Tears of Bhaal.
Constitution: With the tome and machine of Lum the Mad, I'll get it up to 20 for regeneration.
Dexterity: I'll use the tome, bringing it to 19. I'll lose one to the dream, bringing it to 18. I'll lose another at the Tears of Bhaal, bringing it to 17. I'll use the machine of Lum the Mad, bringing it back up to 18 and getting me back that -4 bonus to AC.
So you see, everything is proceeding as I have foreseen. *cackle*
My record ever was a Paladin which I took from the beginning of Baldur's Gate 1, applied all statups on all the way into the end of TOB. I started out with: 18 18 18 13 13 18 And ended up with 20 18 (you lose 2 points in BG2) 20 15 18 21
May I ask how people are managing to get their screengrabs? I'm using Print Screen & pasting in MSPaint but all I get is a black rectangle. Any suggestions?

Got one of these for a throw-away paladin I was making to compare BG:EE with Tutu. Think it's the highest I've ever got with an 18/00, so I was kinda bug-eyed. (Str 18/00, Dex 18, Con 18, Int 10, Wis 13, Cha 18.)
I have a bad tendency to reroll until the sum of the stats is 92 or greater. I usually play with human lawful evil (wild)mage and (after careful calculation) I always use this form in BG1: 18 8 18 18 14 16
So after finishing the whole series with all possible bonus it will be: 20 10 (18 with gauntlets of dex) 20 20 19 19
If I don't play with mage, or don't want to play the whole thing I am satisfied with 84.
Kensai to be Mage in BG2 STR: 18/97 DEX: 18 CON: 18 INT: 18 WIS: 10 CHA: 6 I spent quite some time rolling these, but I was tired and decided to go for it with a 6 CHA and the strength bonus. I also think that he classes with minimal requirements will usually score a lot higher scores than a fighter which only has STR as requirement. for my paladins in the old BG1 I used to score pretty high numbers due to their WIS and CHA requirements.
Yeah, fighters are a pain. My zerker-come-druid dual class took me hours to roll up. One of the harder duals to pull off, and not particularly powerful either. I just had never tried it, so I thought it'd be fun
Now when I look at my original game I never seen a roll that would give me more than 61 or 62 points to play with on top of the ones your can not move.

He can however use a certain claw type item with no meaningful penalties.
I seem to have my best rolls land on specialist mages... As currently an Enchanter holds my best stats at 10 Strength, 18 Dexterity, 16 Constitution, 18 Intelligence, 15 Wisdom and 18 Charisma.

No joke, Mages always give me rolls that make me go 'Ugh, should have picked a melee class!'
Just made a Wild Mage to run through BGTu (Because I miss mah mods! ) and got:

He's primarily a crossbow-wielding archer.
I just rolled a 97 on a human 'zerker, and was having some trouble deciding what I was going to dual-class it to.
So, protip; Don't alt-enter to escape full screen if you're sitting on your attribute distribution screen.
Now I am going back to that screen to gently weep.
May yet Shadowkeep it... such a waste...

Probably average compared to most peoples' rolls, but good enough for my play style and I plan on giving him all the tomes.
