No problems here. I added the BG2 Tweaks for some stuff that I like and everything is running smoothly.

I have to set it on run admin and compat with windows xp s1 and then spam the "Baldur.exe".

It has a 15% chance to load, 15% chance to crash and a 70% chance to do nothing.

I only had two hours to play so far... but haven't had a single problem so far. The final download took me just 2 minutes (granted, it was later in the evening...), game starts without any issues and the resolution is finally bearable on my wide screen!

when I say spam, i mean literally spam your enter key on the .exe until u get the game up and then alt tab to close all the errors/multi games loaded
  • no probems what so ever till now.. win7 1080p wide screen laptop..

Mine is working just fine. Have not encountered any bugs. Most people are enjoying the game and even I had to force myself to drop by here and see if people were still going bananas here.

    Buggy on Windows XP rig
Not working at all on Windows 7 rig

Has anyone got it to work with Windows 7 without going through multiple side steps?

Game freezes to the point Ctrl Alt Del doesn't work, have to manually reboot

Am using an old Radeonx600 video card and just a generally old computer. But I'm pretty sure I meet all the game requirements.

I didn't do a single thing other than load and play and it worked without a problem on my Windows 7.

Works on my end like a charm. Win7 Ultimate x64, German edition with Japanese setting, intel i7 with geforce gtx 560ti sli setup and newest nvida beta driver.

    As for bugs:
The only bugs I ran into were that my blackguard hasn't received her Dark Aura ability at second level and an somewhat annoying text bug in the buying/selling menu.

They get it at 3rd level.

It's downloaded just fine on my computer, but when I click the play button it closes the window and nothing else happens. It's not even running when I open my task manager :(

I've not had one bug yet. however if I did have a game breaking bug, you'd better believe I'd be mad. hope they release a patch to make this game playable for everyone soon.

Got both a laptop and a desktop with core i3 and an AMD card, my favourite setup since I bought new ones last year. Runs fine, but some of the texts are hard to read, including the dialogue box and the journal. The characters of the text are blurry.

I've got a secondary laptop with Intel dual core B970 with Intel HD included in it, and that ones suffers from the flashing menu+no selection circles bug. Don't feel like trying it out anymore there, I already have a bad feeling about that laptop. I wish I had bought another in the same shop, slightly more expensive, with a very slow core i3 (1,4GHz) but an nVidia Gf 610 card.

The only thing that has cheered me up recently... No one is putting any likes in this thread as it is sooooooo depressing...

I had this problem. I disabled tripple buffering in my video card settings and it fixed it.

    @Mazoku

    Go to your NVidia panel
And turn off EVERY possible option for BG:EE (anti liasing etc.)

    It worked for me.

Well, the poll so far shows that far more people have no problems or minor problems. The people who have problems are understandably more vocal. :)
This thread at least haven't had any of the vitriol tone as many other threads on the forums since release.

A few of the people posting here have problems that in high probability can be fixed by reading some of the threads regarding hardware, and others have posted solutions to other problems where it helps with different compatability modes and fiddling a bit with graphic card settings. This shouldn't have to be necessary, but it most often is with any new release, even a re-release enhanced game.
Those hardware compatability bugs will of course be fixed ASAP, as I'm sure the Devs are working hard on it, and have been since last night.

Other minor bugs that people have encountered in the game will probably be fixed after hardware compatability have been fixed.

Now, a lot of complaints here have been about dislikes of GUI, lack of BG1 character models, cinematics, etc. etc.
Those are not bugs, and it's silly to rant about them as if they were. Those are working as intended by the developers.
Some like those changes, others don't. That's just the way it is, and always would be, no matter what changes were made.
I happen to like every bit of it myself.

I've had no problems running the game under Win7, I'm one of the majority of lucky ones then.
I feel bad for those that can't get the game running or have problems with crashes, I really do, but it will be fixed very soon, I'm certain, and in the mean time, look at the pinned threads for solutions that will work for many if not most.
