The scroll of Wraithform - for the sake of accuracy it actually drops for Sakul, one of Prat's henchmen.

Thanks for the list a lot, but there's still a mistake in it regarding Night Club +1. It must be "THAC0 +1, AC-1, -2 at night" instead of "THAC0 +1, +2 at night".

Also, the place of the Harrower +1 is wrong. On the cliff overlooking the sea in the south of the Cloakwood Map 2 area is the Rashad's Talon not the Harrower +1. The right place for this long sword is the following: Zeela (one of the amazon warriors) outside the exit of the Nashkel mines AND Elkart in the Blade and Stars inn.

When speaking about the Rugged Leathers +2 it deserves to mention that you can equip the ring of Princess (or any simular item) with it. It's a lovely feature to compensate for "-15% MS".

How are other items that grant an AC bonus described, e.g. Drizzt's 'Twinkel" Scimitar? The description ought to be consistent with that

I didn't know that, is that intended, or a bug?

@bengoshi Excellent! Thanks. I'll amend the doc accordingly.

Is the item description for the Night Club + 1 wrong? (Which it certainly could be.) I took that "THAC0 +1, +2 at night" directly from the description in-game.

I doubt it is intended, it looks like they just forgot to add this particular armour to the exclusion list (ITEMEXCL.2DA).

It's a bug, at least according to PnP rules.

I suspect the Night Club was INTENDED to behave according to it's text description too.

You mean a Ring of Protection that reduces AC by 1 or 2? Cloak of Protection, etc.?

its better to call something a +1 bonus or -1 bonus or a +1 penalty or -1 penalty to be absolutely clear.

@ajwz Yeah, that's true, good thinking. I'll amend the document accordingly tonight (or tomorrow AM).

    Or sometime soon. :)

I agree, though I got really confused initially about whether the "+2 Bonus" save vs. Jester's song made it harder for enemies to save than +0 or easier (it's the latter)

Updated with the new fixed version of the night club. Let me know if you find any more in the new patch. Be on the lookout for katanas in particular since ogre mages drop them now

New throwing axes for sale at Thunderhammer's Smithy in v1.0.2014

    "Beruel's Retort"
The only thing Dwarven warriors love more than a cool pint of ale is a short-hafted blade of cold steel. Perfect for penetrating the thick skull of orcs, these axes serve equally well when thrown or held in one hand.

    Thaco +1
    Damage 1D6+2
    Damage type (Melee): Slashing
    Damage type (Thrown): Missile

I am pretty sure those were already there before this patch

K - Didn't see them in the master list on page 1 -- Just confirmed that they are not listed. @ajwz do you know if this is new?

Were you able to melee with them pre patch? Never used, but didn't notice that before.

I believe you were - seems like I recall a thread where that was mentioned specifically as a decent option before getting the +1 axe

They were present in the 2012 patch and could always be used both ranged and in melee

Beruel's Retort is listed in the topic starter post under Ammunition, whereas one might expect it to be under Axes.
  • ajwzajwz Member Posts: 4,122
Katana +1 has changed location. Also, as Lemernis said, throwing axes come under ammunition

The Ogre Mage in the Baldur's Gate sewers now drops a Scimitar +1, no unique flavour text or bonuses

Apparently a few of them do now. For me, this is not unique enough to be added to the list

There wasn't one at all before, now there is. There was always a ninja-to +1 and a wakazashi +1, but neither is usable by Druids.

Yes, I think they're significant enough to list
  • ajwzajwz Member Posts: 4,122
But there are alternative (better) scimitars available even earlier. Those are the only magical ninja-to and wakazashi in the game
  • CorvinoCorvino Member Posts: 2,269
There are 2 +2 scimitars available earlier, one in Cloakwood the often gets missed and vanishes if not picked up within 10 days of first entering Cloakwood Map 2. The other one is in Durlag's Tower, and so the Baldur's gate one may be available earlier for many players who do not seek it out.

If the Cloakwood scimitar is missed then this is the only offhand scimitar for Druids ingame.
