Will there ever be more "substantial" updates?

First of all, let me clarify that I'm not trying to belittle the work made by the devs so far on the game. I was wondering if we'll ever see "bigger" updates, mostly concerning QoL improvements to the game (like options to send removed companions to an inn, for example). I'm not complaining about the work done so far, the mere fact that the game is still maintained is amazing in this era of video gaming, I was just wondering if there are plans for the future past 2.7.

    Starting with the 2.7 Infinity Engine update, our focus has shifted from in‑game bug fixes to long‑term technical support for the titles. As reflected in the 2.7 release, we’re prioritizing improved localization and keeping pace with evolving mobile OS requirements. Our current goal is to invest in systemic improvements that benefit both players and the games themselves, such as enhanced language support and expanded modding capabilities on mobile.

    I suppose it's wishful thinking to hope that someday basic core gameplay bugs like the clumping/pathfinding bug Beamdog introduced a couple of patches ago will ever get fixed. smh.

    At least modders for the foreseeable future are still willing to take on the bugs that don't involve serious exe re-engineering:

    This computer at work seems to re-image itself every work trip. Takes like an hour to install scs alone, icewindfication and RR before, then tweaks, then my mod.. :S

    Hope everything works with the new patch :D
