Bug : Durlag Tower (AR0514) - Grael taking damage from acidic pool.

After answering to the statues questions (The one from the top room, where you can find the +3 plate and the +3 sling), Grael started taking damage from an acidic pool without me doing anything right after giving my answer.
Expected behaviour : Grael isn't affected by the pool damage.

    I cleared Durlag's Tower today. Grael died from acid pool before i had a chance to talk to him.

    In beta he surely starts out of the pool - just checked that. Either some random walk kicked in, or the live release is different.

    Same here. Grael was taking damage and I never ran into him because he apparently died from it before i got there.

    This is the same for me. I completed the tower today (prior to the patch released on Dec. 3rd, so I don't know if it was fixed or not with this second patch), and the moment I entered the floor and started talking to Durlag's ghost, I noticed the window scrolling with Grael taking 1 acid damage. He's dead before I can even reach him.

    Thankfully I am still able to complete the quest/floor/etc. just fine. But it's something that needs to be looked at.

    In the last underground level of Durlag's Tower, after speaking with Durlag's ghost and taking a rest, the ghast Grael starts take damage (he is on the green damaging slime). I think he would be immune to the slime, or he should be moved from his current place.

    Runestones also show no image while reading their description.

    I add 2 more bug:

    1- If you finish the dungeon (killing the demon and freeing Dalton) before having speaking with Terella (the mother worried about his son (Dalton) at UB) and after you speak with her you cannot complete the quest. You have no option of telling her you've already free her child and if you speak with her again nothing happens.

    2- In the last combat at UB with the demon and his cult, I could snipe the cultists without beeing attacked by the demon itself (I was out of his sight, but I think he would have reacted while the cultists started falling around him XD)...so it was easy to take them down (removing the demon protection) and then attack the demon...I think that mus be fixed, I've killed the demon in less then half minute...:S

    I need a saved game to find this problem. I spent a lot time in the area doing various things, but Grael didn't step into the acid. - he is still "alive" and well.

    This is strange. I also do not get this - he does not stand in the acid.

    Also he won't move into it, at least not in my tests. I 'played' in ar0514 for an hour without any result.

    Ok. Forgive me for the alliteration. I couldn't resist.

    Expected Behavior: The issue here is that this guy is supposed to talk to you and has a very interesting dialog.
    Current Behavior: The moron is standing in a puddle of slime and will likely be dead before he can be talked to.

    This was actually an issue in the original as well. While he doesn't always take damage for standing where he is (however that is possible) there are unknown circumstances that cause him to start taking damage. I figured the developers would have the sense to move this guy's spawn point just a few pixels to the north to prevent this. I guess they didn't know. This is a pretty simple fix I should think. Open up yon Developer Editing Program. Click. Drag out of yon slime. Done. In the mean time I will use yon CLUAConsole to spawn yon Grael outside of yon slime. Thanks for all your hard work!

    @Shandyr Hah! lucky for you I saved before the chess battle in case I wanted to do it again. So yes I do. No Idea how to send it to you though. Or is that what you are asking?
    Note: The first time I entered that floor he was NOT taking damage. Having a full pack after the previous floor I skipped talking to D's ghost(stealth) and headed straight for Islanne. Upon my return to that floor he immediately started taking damage. I decided to quit and report. I don't personally see any reason for him to be in slime. If that is the intended function I would be surprised. If I may be so bold, I would suggest that instead of trying to make him stay where he is and not take damage, just move him a few inches. There is plenty of space in that room that has no slime where he can be spawned.

    This happened to me during the second game update I believe. It was fine when I entered the area but after I rested 'Grael takes 1 damage' kept scrolling up my screen until he finally died. If it has been fixed during the newest update that is great. I just thought I would share my experience to confirm that this had happened at one point of bgee.

    Ok that is my save file. After some preliminary testing I found that it started the damage when I left and decided to go to the high hedge and then return. Hope this helps and watch out for chess. I also have the most recent patch.

    He died in the acid on my playthrough(went to Durlag's tower after patch 2011). Also the bridge dwarves didn't actually drop the stone to open the door to the next level and I had to teleport my party past that door.

    Well, i did this: load the gork save, passed to ar0514. Then explodearea, ctrl-j to grael's place.
    He didn't stand in acid. Now what?

    I see shandyr's game too. But when i entered, this didn't happen :)

    @Avenger_teambg Oh really? It didn't happen? Hmm maybe he somehow gets moved after a while of in game time? I only just got to that floor myself. I am sure I could get it to happen and save while its happening.

    It looks like the guy is walking. I don't know why, but he got a destination leading into the goo.

    Maybe if you kill ghouls outside the place, grael gets panicky and starts randomwalking.
    His wtasight script has a randomwalk action.
