Question about BG2:EE game text

Hello!

I would like to know why in the BG2:EE game text there is a single space at the beginning of each string that starts with the ' symbol (ex. STR 236 and 256). I was told that @typo_tilly could perhaps answer this question.

    typo_tilly hasn't logged in for almost a year, so you might be waiting a while before you get a response from that user

    Oh. I was unaware of @typo_tilly 's AWOL.

    Do you remember who else was keeping track of typos and patching up the game's text?

    at this time nope, although there may be others out there that know how to fiddle with the game font

    Fiddling is not the problem per se; @Salk's question is more about the reason for a specific stylistic choice. If none of the copy-editors / proof-readers are still around, it will be hard to find out. @JuliusBorisov perhaps you know who else was involved with this?

    I used to but I was mostly involved in the BG:EE / SoD portion and I don't recall encountering that particular predicament.
