Living Clara: Clara & Dark Side Anomen
This project builds upon the Clara‑related content originally created by Ratatoskr and BCaesar, and is developed with their kind permission. It has been completely overhauled and expanded into a standalone mod focused solely on Clara.

About This Mod
This mod delivers two major enhancements to your Baldur's Gate II experience:
  • Keep Clara Alive: When facing Hexxat, Clara will no longer die. We've reworked the conclusion of Hexxat's companion quest, allowing you to permanently destroy Hexxat and save Clara.
  • Dark Side Anomen: If Anomen fails his knight trial and kills his father, he would normally be forced to leave the party permanently. This component adds content that can allow him to stay if he is in a romance. Furthermore, if Clara takes Charname's place as his romantic partner, Anomen may gain an unexpected benefit.

Installation
  • Compatible with most popular mods
  • Do NOT install with the original "All Things Mazzy" mod (duplicate content)
  • Do NOT install the "Nothing kills romances" component from the Romance Cheats section of The Tweaks Anthology mod, as it will prevent Anomen and Clara from developing a romance.
  • Install after Saradas-Magic-BG2 for crossmod content
  • Install after the Trickster kit from The Artisan's Kitpack will change Clara's kit to Trickster.
  • On EET: install before EET_End
  • Recommended: Use with Banter Accelerator for optimal experience

    I do not remember offhand; is it possible to skip this mod content in the
    All Things Mazzy in regards to Clara (but only that, and retain the other
    components), and instead install the mod here?

    No. As far as I remember you install it all in one. There was „for the good“ and „for the evil“ content you could choose, but not this one

    Yes, the content related to Clara is bundled within the main component of the ATM mod and cannot be installed separately. This is precisely why I undertook the effort to split and remake it. Otherwise, simply installing the ATM mod and selecting the desired components would have sufficed.

    My apologies for the error. Please re-download the files, or alternatively, manually open the bYF_cl25.tra and bYF_clar.tra files located in the Translations\english folder with a text editor like Notepad, delete the first line in each file, and save the changes.

    If you encounter any issues with this mod during gameplay, including unbalanced rewards, script errors or glitches, please report them so I can improve the mod.

    As I understand it, this mod also changes content of the original mod to some extent. Can I ask what content has been removed / adapted?

    Removed all content unrelated to Clara and Anomen.
    Improved Clara's cutscene and performance during her rescue sequence.
    Fixed several bugs in the original mod involving Clara.
    Removed sexual content featuring Clara.
    Removed the content where Viconia uses Clara to administer poison.
    Refined certain text (primarily Anomen's dialogue during the patricide incident).
    Modified the attributes of the wedding ring Anomen gives to Clara and adjusted the rewards for some interjection events.
    ....
    Oh, and the fake noble alias Clara uses for her scams and impersonations has also been adjusted. Though since it was always a fake name anyway, nobody really cares.
