Might not perfectly fit, but I think a foray into the far-off realms of Aber-Toril would be neat in a BG3 game. Having some sort of quest involving a major plot venture to Kara-Tur or a major exploration quest to Anchorome or Maztica would be neat.
Maybe a quest to find a passage to Shou Lung going out of Baldur's Gate? Or to circumnavigate the globe of Aber-Toril?
Of course, in this plot, it would probably have to be with a new CHARNAME.
Never noticed how "Earthy" Abeir Toril is... are there any koalas in Osse?
Haha, not sure. Osse is supposed to be pretty much unexplored, but even more unexplored (by outsiders) is that Katashaka continent, which is supposed to be a version of Medieval Africa I think.
