Its coming out on the 15th in some areas of the world and the 14th in others (depends what your time zone is). But it will be out for everyone at the same moment.
There are four things I'm going to do as soon as chitin.key and dialog.tlk come through:
1. Look up Dorn's romance epilogue (for RP purposes).
2. See if Rasaad can be corrupted, because that'll change my party strategy: if he can fit in with an Evil party, I'll take him along instead of Korgan, skip the Hell sacrifice, and have Sarevok replace Edwin instead (my PC is a Sorcerer so he can probably handle arcane duties solo).
3. Extract all new portraits (there seem to be quite a few if the partial glimpse I saw was any indication).
4. Look up any references to Baeloth, just to satisfy my curiosity as to whether he's in the game or not.
Guys, in 5 hours from this post we will have BG2EE. I wanted to take this chance to think about what a journey it's been. 2 years ago we were staring at a countdown just like this, as we waited for news on why there is a Baldur's Gate website with a countdown going on over 10 years since it's release. We were blessed with the Enhanced Edition, and now with the 2nd games Enhanced Edition merely hours away, our journey is coming to a close. I have made friends on this forum and talked about this game with the people who have been with it since it's initial release. In spite of me getting to the game before the EE announcement, I am still quite the newcomer.
With your help I have achieved much that I couldn't do on my own. However, when those 5 hours are up, what will happen to some of us. Many will be lost in Faerun all over again, ignoring friends and family as we must take up the cause to stop Jon Irenicus and rescue (or not) Imoen. Many more extreme may be getting out the bottle and will be on their 10th playthrough before the first week's end! Will there be a moment of darkness on these forums, as all my friends abandon it to see this epic conclusion through.
This is my (just for fun obviously! I'll be around.) goodbye to you all. Now I must be off to stock up, because Helm knows the next time I will have a chance to get food! Then, I will be back so that Irenicus may resume his experiments. What is that? Oh dang it. I gotta go! There are figures cloaked in mist clouding my thoughts, blurring the lines between consciousness and dreaming, from the door and they have cookies! Strange scout uniform? They are promising grim deeds to come. I guess I will see what they want.....
Isn't Mac "coming soon"? Wasn't there an issue where they have to get some bugs ironed out before Apple will let them distribute? I could be 100% making that up because I know nothing about Macs.

That delay was for the Apple Store. Mac version of BG2EE from Beamdog should be out on the 15th (or 14th or whatever).
I've been so ridiculously busy these days it makes me cry at all the game time I've lost these last 8-9 months. If I may wax poetic a moment, father time is creeping at my door and I've double locked my doors and windows, but it brings a tear of joy to this old fart and his grinchy heart that BG:EE II is coming out and I fully intend to play bg1 and 2 EE back to back asa time permits. Thank you for all your efforts in bringing these classic and undisputedly best rpg's ever made teams Overhaul and Beamdog. I'm a happy happy grouch.
@ChildofBhaal599 this is the main reason I'm grateful to Overhaul team. Not only they have reunited the BG community, they have popularized the genre amongst younger generation. Each time I come to these forums I feel like coming home.
