This is a cover...one that was done tonight, by the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor, who is touring solo right now. It was performed in Minneapolis.
Iconic music sometimes transcends the genre that it originates from. Prince's music could be considered several different genres at once in many instances, and I consider his music timeless. Because of that, I think that this video is fitting for this thread.
I'm going to go back to the 70's for one post here.
It's the year 2005, and two random people sit next to each other at computer terminals at a community center on an island in the Atlantic Ocean. The man, hearing this song on the radio says to the female next to him, that's a damn good song. She agrees. They have their first conversation, then go their separate ways. The two people find themselves together on occasion, on the island over the course of the next few months, and a friendship forms. The lady travels back to the US of A for a vacation, but the two remain in contact. A love grows within the man, for the woman, forever cemented when the lady extends her trip to fly home with the man to bury his father/best friend in April 2006. The two marry less than a year later, on a mountain near Bedford Virginia in a private ceremony.
