@Kenze - Have you done the troubleshooting steps in the READ ME.txt file that is included with the download? You need to check your resolution/scaled settings to ensure they are correctly set in the EzInstaller.
What is your resolution and do you have scaling turned on or off in BGEE?
yeah my resolution was right its 1920x1080. I did sorta look at that readme and it mentioned the 'Graphics' , 'Scale UI' , '0', -OR- 'Graphics' , 'Scale UI' , '1', but my Baldur.ini didnt have either of those in it.
@Kenze - It sounds like your setting your resolution in the EzInstaller to NON-SCALED 1920x1080 but you have SCALING turned on by default in your .ini. Add: 'Graphics' , 'Scale UI' , '0', to your .ini. The READ ME explains all of this please read it....
@lecerint: Try deleting these files and see if it starts: start.chu or GUILUPB2.png. What is the native resolution of an iPad? Is it same for all generations of the iPad?

Ah, it looks like this might actually be the issue. From wikipedia:
The device features a 9.7" (diagonal) display with a resolution of 2,048 by 1,536 (QXGA) resulting in 3.1 million pixels, this gives the display a pixel density of 264 ppi. The total number of pixels used in the display of the fourth-generation iPad is four times that of the iPad 2 – providing even scaling from the prior model.[40][41]
I'm pretty ignorant about these things, but this looks like it could maybe be causing the issue.

No effect.
@mlnevese - Presuming that using the 2048 x 1536 resolution will be necessary for the mod to run, it looks like I would have to specifically request this particular resolution for it to work (I think?).
@Iecerint - Ok try removing: startold.mos, start.chu, startee.mos, startopt.mos, start.mos and startm.mos. I'm trying to figure out if it has to do with the start screen.
@Archaic I didn't check but are yor GUI files much bigger than the standard UI files? The Ipad version runs under serious memory limitations. The IPad 1 is barely able to run the current release of the game...
@mlnevese - Yes they are approx twice the size. We were actually just talking about how the iPad 1 can't run mods due to memory. @Iecerint - is running iPad 4.
@Archaic hmmm the IPad 4 has 4x the amount of memory of an IPad 1 so it should be able to deal with the huge override folder with no problems. But it really sounds like a memory overflow problem with the crash straight back to system.
If the game works with the UI installed after a full reboot then memory is the problem, not compatibility.
@mlnevese - I've turned the iPad off and back on before each test, so maybe that addresses that possibility? Unless it just needs tons and tons of memory or the memory isn't being handled efficiently.
I renamed portraits to Portraits and it started, but I think that's just because it can't see the override folder at all, as it's starting without any GUI goodies. (I think I read something about this fixing some problem or other in another thread.)
@lecerint Try rebooting the IPad then double click the front button and close any stand by program. If this solves the problem then it's really memory related
@Iecerint I see resolution may be the cause of crash, I had no idea that Ipad4s had THAT big resolutions! No wonder everybody goes crazy for the 'retina screen' stuff. I have an Ipad 2 so the mod may work for me, since Ipad 2 resolution is a lot worse. But then again its CPU and memory are worse too, so it may work with huge FPS hit if it can work at all. @Archaic Am I correct to understand that this new gui version is quite heavy and big when compared to old version? Sadly, this may cause problem with mobile devices who have limited resources.
And I have a huge override (portraits) folder allready, with thousands of files, mostly from scs mod and my own customisations. It does not cause a noticable slowdown or crash, so I am happy.
@Balquo - Thank you very much for your generous donation! Its not so much about the money but more about how good it feels to see that someone enjoys my work enough to get out their wallet. Sure helps with the motivation aspect as well. I'm going to Starbucks tomorrow and I'm going to have a latte and something to eat. Thanks again! ☻
I reinstalled BG:EE for the release of your UI mod and it turns out that it wasnt your mod at all causing my screen flashing problem. It seems BG:EE doesnt like vsync/triple buffering at all! and after disabling those your mod and the game work perfectly. I am terrible sorry for the trouble. Do you forgive me?
This mod looks great. I've just got one small issue... The mod doesn't load at all.
I've looked into it and can't understand why. I've never actually modded this game before but as per usual practice, I've checked .ini settings, tried moving the mod between folders within the 'override' folder, etc. However, when I start the game, I've still got the original UI.
Though I'll keep trying, I'm fairly certain the only answer is to ask if you have any ideas? e.g. Is there a step I should have taken before installing the mod?
@Jazzyboy1 - Please read over the READ ME.txt file included with the download for troubleshooting. I would recommend using the EzInstaller if you are on a windows computer. What resolution and scaled settings do you have? What options did you select in the installer?

-OR-
'Graphics' , 'Scale UI' , '1',
but my Baldur.ini didnt have either of those in it.
Is it the various files in Core that start with the word "start," and/or some other files, instead?

No effect of removing those 6 files (or of the 7th file also being missing).

It was exciting for a moment. :[

Rebooted/closed programs anyway -- no change.
