When you do get up to the NPC stuff can I make a feature request? As a middle option rather than reverting all NPCs to level 0 only revert NPCs to 0 if they would otherwise be created with their lowest level .cre and otherwise just use the previous .cre.
Otherwise just seems too much incentive to try to solo to 4-5 before picking anyone up but still gives some options for NPCs that you pick up late.
Nashkel Store owner won't exchange my winter wolf pelts after the first one. I have stackable pelts on. WAI? Seems back to Beregost to sell them for 250gp/each.
Try right-clicking the link and selecting 'save as'. Presumably you are using a computer that is somewhat recent as the average lifespan is three years... that being said you are likely running Win7 or at least Vista.
Click Start and type (without clicking anywhere else after clicking start) 'iexplore' > hold CTRL+Shift and hit enter. This should ask you if you want to open the program, yes you do. This is just IE in administrative mode. Try the link from here.
Does it work?
If not try clicking start and typing 'internet explorer'. One of the options should read 'no addons'. This is a version of IE that does not have all the junk that most people download (intentionally or otherwise). Try the link from here.
I'll leave it at that for now. Let me know if it works. If not, I have other tricks @wild.
I have some issues with Shar-Tee when i enter bassiliscs location. She attacks Kegain for no reason, suddenly stops and i cant control her but she is still in my party.
@Pecca I would say yes. The new patches will change dialog.tlk just like SCS does. Just back up your saves, patch, reinstall your mods, then restore your save.
When using the component that replaces +1 weapons with "Fine" versions, the new Excellent Composite Bow (bow02.itm) has replaced the old composite longbow +1, which had +2 hit and +3 dam. The new Fine version has +2 hit and only +1 damage. Shouldn't this have +3 damage?
From the readme: "This replaces most of the standard (i.e. non-named) +1 weapons in the game with non-magical equivalents: they still give you +1 to hit and damage but they don't give you +1 to initiative and they can't harm creatures that are immune to normal weapons."
Apologies if this is a poor place to list this bug. I did not see an appropriate thread over at G3, nor do I have an account there to start one.
I freshly installed SCS and I encountered 2 bugs with BG:EE on PC (patch 1.0.2013) so far : -First, some enemies shout some dialogues from Baeloth when they drink potions. Here it's a ghast (who gulped a potion !).
-Then, on area 4400 (NE of Nashkel), you have to kill ogres for a dwarf. I slaughtered them all, but can't get the reward from Sarhedra, as if some were still alive. I think it could be the berserker ogre as SCS changed it, or i messed up and let one alive (but i searched the whole map). Edited.
@Noon, there is a well known bug in the game engine (from original BG time, not fixed in BG II, as probably not in BGEE if I remember correctly) that sometimes fails counting the number of death of a certain type, hence can cause problem with quests where you need to kill a certain amount of a given creature. This issue may be caused by bringing death with a huge blow, as when a member of the team can't be resurrected. To overcome such bug, you have to try again for a previous save game. This may be caused by SCS.
After applying the newt patch, i cant get SCS to install anymore.
The error occurs during install of the intialise component:

@DavidW I noticed that several creatures have very low inappropriate saving throws (3 5 4 4 6) after installing SCS v22 on BGEE. Xvarts, ogrillons, half-ogres, tasloi, spiders, bears and others. I assume it's a bug. It looks like this happens in the initialise mod component.
Here is a list of all cre-files I found with these low saving throws, that had other saving throws in vanilla BGEE.
Maybe is just me, but why would unintelligence/non-magical creatures have a hig chance to resist magic? Take the zombie for example... Why would it have a saving throw at all? (Except for things that obviously wouldn't affect a dead person).
Comments
I'll look into why the autoinstaller is failing if I have a chance.
Jokes
I'm really loving all the imaginative ways that you've thought up to kill my charname.

Can download v21 for bg2 but trying to download the bgee compatibale v22 just gives an error message
You are clicking this link?
What web browser are you trying with?
And most importantly, what is the error message?
Edit @mars0124 forgot to tag you in my reply

Edit Nevermind found chrome and worked 1st time hahaha. thanks anyway
Yeah... IE sucks. Welcome to the users of the #1 used browser in the world

I've attached the .DEBUG file and my weidu.log
