    1. Yes! Boo needs far more presence within the game! *Squeak*

    2. Rangers and Hamsters everywhere rejoice!

    3. Certainly Not! A good hamster is a dead hamster... preferably grilled...

Boo is the best NPC in the game. I would like to see his motives, back story and cosmic significance more thoroughly explored. Even better if he were joinable without that superfluous Ranger.

No, there is not enough Boo in this game or any other.

Boo, like many great mysteries of the world, shouldn't be explained. He should just exist. I usually play the game thinking, what would Boo do? And the answer would always bring me to a higher sense of self awareness.

However, I thought too long on this and perhaps I have found a flaw in the path of Charname in the series that is known as Baldur's Gate. The temple district and the cult of the unseeing eye. They were not worshiping a beholder, but a beholder who was a prophet of Boo. Cast out the eyes of wickedness is what Boo stands for. Yet, Charname shuns the unseeing eye and the philosophy of Boo and uses the rod against him for the benefit of a long dead god. The rod should of been used for a higher purpose. It should of been used for what Boo would use it for: descending back into space among the stars and constellations of the Gods where he belongs.

The Charname took that away from him, and took his place instead. Boo had much to teach the world, and in Charnames selfishness, took that away from us.

Boo should also be a once per day item that blinds a target for 1d4 rounds imho.

When Minsc suffers perma-death ie:is chunked, frozen, petrified, disintegrated etc. I wish Boo could be saved and transferred to pc's inventory. :-( You can't let such horrible things happen to Boo too! :cries:

I made up my mind. While I would never grill a rodent, I do wish this creature destroyed. I fear it, and it's human nature to destroy what we fear.

Boo is fine as it is and should not be changed. Still, there is room for more rodents in the game. Personally I was always fond of the Tyrannohamstersaurus of Ill Omen.

I just want to ask the devs when you're going to release BG:EBE (Baldur's Gate: Enchanced Boo Edition)?

    When, you guys?! When?!

Does that make Boo an actual NPC?

The first answer says "Yes, there's not enough Boo."

Is there any option that says "I want more Boo" without saying that I'm satisfied with the current amount of boo?

EDIT: Saw revised question within post. Disregard.

Boo is smart. Boo says you have not phrased the alternatives right. “Is there enough Boo in the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition?” Clearly, the answer to that question is no, there is not enough Boo in the game. Boo says there can only be one alternative to such question and that is “NO, THERE CAN NREVER BE ENOUGH BOO, NEVER, NEVER. I GO FOR YOUR EYES -AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGHHHH.”

Spamming that squeak sound was such a moral booster. Despite the angry glares I got from Minsc. Now if you'll excuse me *Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak**Squeak*

"BG3: The Revenge of Boo" would be a great title...

I have a question about Minsc and Boo. This looks like as good a place as any to ask. In several dialogues with Minsc he refers to "the smelly clouds that come off Boo's backside". Is he talking about Boo farts?

Actually, it is part of the camouflage that Boo used while hid-....ahem.... keeping an eye on his minion Minsc and the co-leader of the party during that unpleasant incarceration business by that horrible Irenicus person.

I think the "smelly clouds" mean that Boo can cast Stinking Cloud once a day per five levels, and Cloudkill once a day starting at level 15.

No.. this is hamster perfume... it apparently possesses quite a luxurious rich smell and it is in high demand throughout the Sword Coast, as some also consider it to be a potent aphrodisiac...

I would enjoy it of Boo was, in actuality, once captain of a spelljammer who got polymorphed into a Giant Space Hamster and then miniaturized. Boo got sent through a portal somehow into Rasheman, where Minsc found him. Minsc does have a head injury that makes him a bit simple-minded and zany (Minsc, you so crazy), and prone to loss of control during berserker rages. And it is true that Boo is who Minsc says he is. *sing-song* I-ro-ny!

The polymorph is irrevocable. How 'Boo' feels about now being the cherished property of Minsc is an open question for your imagination.

@Lemernis Once I got to BG2 there was really very little doubt that there was more to Boo than meets the eye. Have you ever seen the conversation with this guy (Radeel) while Minsc was in the party?

I'm just getting my feet wet again with BG2, and don't really remember Radeel at all but I will check it out. :)

@Lemernis just in case you can't tell he is at the northeast exit of the promenade and can be visited any time.

Cool, I need to do some BG2 playing anyways. I'm at least out of that blasted dungeon!

Thanks, I look forward to taking a look as his dialogue.
