First title of the Far Cry franchise which I'm actually hyped for. I've been waiting "decades" for an Palaeolithic Open World computer game. And this one is even voiced in three kinds of pre-Proto-Indo-European languages! Sweet! 22 days until I get ny collectors edition.
Ok, I really want to share these after running into them. I am just questioning to myself... what were the developers thinking? I think I legitimately might've had nightmares as a kid if I had a Sega CD. Now I am just tearing up as I laugh thinking about that.
Ok, I'll get something to raise the mood, but first I never played Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and have been listening to it's theme a lot recently. I love it, and don't need to play PW to know the story it is trying to tell. I played 3, so I know it is a song from Big Boss to The Boss, and their story is one that I still feel a little choked up about at the end of 3, even after well over 10 playthroughs.
Last, I'll admit that I never played a single final fantasy game, but I like battle music so I can look all over the place for good battle themes. They are great to listen to when you need focus and determination. I hear a lot of people don't like the game, but I just care that 13 had a nice battle theme
edit: Here's also MGS2's boss theme. It is repetitive, but I love it. Wish the game had more boss themes, though, because that increases how repetitive it gets.
It's just weird when these things show up in an E rated game. It is supposed to be open to kids! But I swear, that Giygas theme even got me when I first heard it, and it felt appropriate to put it with the Sonic CD stuff which wasn't as intense (and didn't have a demonic mist monster thing). I just recently found the Sonic CD stuff and found it a really bizarre choice, though. I am not sure how a 5 year old me would react to hearing those distorted laughs when I game over. I don't think I would want to try again XD
Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky by Falcom. A very obscure JRPG in the west but one of the best ever made. I played it back in the day and the sequel was localized last year. If you have not played this game you are missing out.

Breath taking...
For classical... honestly, I'm not that big on classical music. I think I'll cheat and go with some Akhnaten by Philip Glass:
For folk music, well, it's got to be Steeleye Span! A song for all you gallant sportsmen out there:
English version:
Japanese version:
I've got a few caveats with the game so far but there's no arguing that this song is beautiful.
I guess it's time to add Stardew Valley as one of my favourite indie games.
Sonic CD and Earthbound
Seriously... how did these get in a Sonic game? Here, let's get something else more people might know, because it's not like the Sega CD sold well, exactly.
