A long and saucy romance where you break through Shar-Teel's misandry, make her open up about her past, see the error of her ways and convert her to chaotic good.
Imoen and Aerie always are great together; Imoen is rebellious and silly, Aerie's sensible and quiet. Imoen will teach her to rebel and have fun and not be so sensitive, and Aerie will restrain Imoen from her more outlandish pranks that would probably have gotten them into a lot of trouble. Nalia could work with either of them, but the problem that Nalia is much more serious than Aerie (who is childish and silly sometimes like Imoen), and Nals really seems more interested in politics than in magic and adventure. So Im and Aer are always the best besties... although, I don't mind occasionally seeing them as something more.
Sometimes I've imagined when things don't work out between Charname and Aerie... she does try a relationship with Haer'Dalis of course, but realizes they're not compatible and dumps him in the game... so maybe at that point Imoen will step in.
I didn't realise Charname had so much competition for Aerie lol.
Of course she does. She is a Mary Sue. Everyone loves Mary Sue.
No, a Mary Sue is a character who is good at everything and wouldn't have any of Aerie's problems. They would just be practically perfect in every way, book smart and street smart, great at fighting, and everyone loves them. Aerie is naive, inexperienced, gets angry sometimes, not used to people, and not a great fist fighter I would hazard. Not to mention claustrophobic; a Mary Sue would never be claustrophobic or insecure. A Mary Sue would never need CHARNAME's help either to find her feet and way in the world, or with any past trauma. When she was captured by slavers, she would have spoken gently to them, shown them the error of their ways and turned them into an army for good.

Firstly... Charname is a 'he'. Secondly, Aerie is generally friendly, helpful and 'nice'. Of course people (real life and ingame NPCs) like her. What's wrong with that exactly? Do you prefer to hang around with a bunch of assholes? I mean aside from roleplay reasons to hang around with evil NPCs, would anyone in real life prefer people like Korgan/Viconia over nice friendly people like Aerie and Imoen?!

Realistically, I imagine even Viconia would rather hang around Aerie than with Korgan. It seems to be a fallacy games encourage of some brotherhood of evil, and that evil characters would all happily share a house together... even though they'd never sleep. I think someone like Viconia is smart enough to know that while Aerie might not like her, she also wouldn't stab her in the back or try to murder her in her sleep, and definitely wouldn't try to sell her to anyone. She might not like Aerie either... or maybe she does, in some weird drow way that I'm sure Aerie would rather never find out about (trying to get a bit back on topic).
Comments
...oh god, did I just become a shipper?
but, to be perfectly honest, Viconia & anyone would work for me...
TIAX and anyone, because we all know the the banter would be hilarious
...how about a complicated love-square with Aerie, Imoen, Nalia, and Neera?
Heh. Xan hates Alora
Eldoth and Shar-Teel
Korgan and Aerie
Keldorn and Viconia
Xzar and Dyanheir (they'll have to keep it a secret from Minsc of course)
Xzar and Khalid (still preferable to dating Jaheira imho)
Xzar and Monty (maybe their relationship will be less fraught now that only one of them is breathing?)

And she kinda is.
Also I was being facetious.
