Multiplayer bug: Game often gets stuck at "paused for rest screen" or something similar. This only happens when we rest in Taverns in the Official Campaign, and everytime we try to rest in Black Pits. Any fix for this?
Program does not show the next characters: - U+0151 Latin Small Letter O With Double Acute - ő - U+0171 Latin Small Letter U With Double Acute - ű - U+0150 Latin Capital Letter O With Double Acute - Ő - U+0170 Latin Capital Letter U With Double Acute - Ű These character are missing from the text. CURRENT BEHAVIOR: During the Prologue you can obtain a silver necklace from upstairs in the Candlekeep Inn. If you still have it in your inventory when you leave the keep, it disappears after the battle between Gorion and Sarevok. (I tested this a couple of times - seems to be the only item affected, at least out of those I had when I left the prologue. It doesn't matter if you're wearing it, or what slot its in, it vanishes all the same).
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: The necklace should not vanish (obviously :P )
BUG: I've been through Neera's quest, cleaned the Goblin's cave, killed the red wizards of Thay, etc. When I came back to Beregost I met him again o.O He was neutral, just standing there and spamming spells. Wild magic can be really weird... lol
Kill him for the 500exp and his robes! Just wait for his Fire Shield(Red) to wear off. :P
I encountered the following bug. I just got to the point in the game where Neera joins my party. When I click on her portrait and hit "r", I see a small picture of a male NPC in the upper left corner. Instead I should be seeing her portrait. All of the other NPC character portraits are displaying correctly. Note: I did select this portrait for my main character: http://www.baldursgate.com/neera.en.html, could this have caused this issue? My main character is an Elven Wild Mage
I'm re-installing the game to see if this corrects the issue (my save games are intact).
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Firebead Elvenhair's "Gold Trick" is poorly timed, which can cause it to be missed entirely. The trick is if you click on Firebead 30 times, after the 30th time he gives you 300 gold. There seems to be about a 20 second delay between the 30th click and when you get the gold, and it is easy to click him again in the interim thinking you didn't do the full 30 clicks required. If you click him again before the gold is given to you, you won't get the reward.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Firebead Elvenhair should immediately give 300 gold after the 30th click.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Kagain's quest does not go to "Done Quests" when going north from Beregost. He initiates his dialogue saying to "forget about the caravan and sticking to what you want to do" but his request remains open forever.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Close his quest after his dialogue indicates to forget about it.
1° - The lines are broken as anyone can clearly see.
2° - Even if not for the broken lines, Dorn does not recognize mens and womens in this banter, As he uses Shar-teel example to point a possible betrayer as she dislike mans, but my main char IS A WOMAN, WTF?
3° - The Shar-teel banter is pretty weak if you ask me, maybe in reason of no direct interaction of old NPCs with the new ones... i don't know.
4° - No romance sound (if that's a romance starting) so... is that right?
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Journal entry after Tranzig attempts to kill you in the Friendly Arm seems to possess a redundant statement. The first statement labeled "Another Assassination Attempt" should be removed.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Remove the unneeded Text (see screenshot below).
EDIT: After further re-play of the battle, the text "Journal Update - Another Assassination Attempt" appears in your dialogue window when you initiate the fight. I think this is therefore a case of that being the "name" of the entry for being shown on the dialogue screen, but for whatever reason its also appearing as the first part of the actual journal entry.
Behaviour: The backpack in the inventory screen is grey. Even if I doesn't have anything in my inventory, it's all grey as if it were full (like in the old versions of the game)
Intended behaviour: The backpack should be brown/ leather coloured. If there's still room left in the inventory, if not THEN it should be grey.
@Kamuizin Hey man - I just had some old BG portraits that I resized in Paint to fit the new specifications. It wasn't a big enough upsize to make them blurry or anything. Have you tried to just resize the ones you used to use? You only need the Small and Medium ones.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: When night falls, doors are showing up as opened and "lit up" (a nice effect for night time!). However, doors I have not yet entered already show as opened. When I try to go inside, the door then makes an "opening" sound and instead, closes. I then walk through the closed door.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Doors that I have not yet entered should remain closed. If I click them they should then open and show the "lit up" night time effect.
You'll see below a picture which shows an example of a door that is "Open but closed". Note the outline of the door that is clickable. When I click it, the door graphic closes it, but is actually open and can be walked through as previously mentioned.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Important Events showing up in the "Done Quests" portion of your Journal. Not sure if this is by design, but you can't expand it with the plus sign (there's no further information shown, and its always there). Doesn't really make a lot of sense.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Don't have Important Events show up in "Done Quests", unless perhaps if the associated events are completed.
*Probably not a bug, maybe a feature request, but including anyway cuz it is highly annoying lol*
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Journals have no scroll bar. You must scroll through them by dragging the screen with your cursor. When you do this, you seemingly always open the journal entry that you clicked on to scroll, as if you wish to edit it.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Add a scroll bar, or alternatively, keep the scrolling mechanic the same but add an edit button to make journal entry changes. Either way would make it possible to navigate the journal without always editing an entry.
Behavior/technical: Im reposting it from another thread, because it happened to me and my friends as well:
I started a multiplayer campaign with my two friends, but they couldn't see eachother moving, I mean only host of the game could see other players following him, but from their perspective the other player was standing still, he could only see the host moving.
known bug? patch will fix it? or is it just broken for ever?
CANDLEKEEP - Current Behaviour: When player is caught by guards while stealing or even if he kills one of them, it doesn't affect his reputation. - Expected Behaviour: Caught on stealing and killing guards in Candlekeep SHOULD affect player reputation.
DORN - Current Behaviour: 3rd lvl and still can't use Aura of Despair . - Expected Behaviour: Should be able to use Aura of Despair at 2nd level (as it's written in Blackguard kit description).
BASILLUS - Current Behaviour: No sounds during dialogue with Basillus. - Expected Behaviour: Bring back Basillus sounds.
Lol, someone mixed up the open/closed doors @Yovaneth might be interested in this.
Not guilty - it was whoever in BeamDog reworked the gatehouse. It's been logged as a bug and is being fixed, along with a couple of other problems in the FAI.
CURRENT BEHAVIOR: Once you get journal entries (example: "Troubles in the Region" entries from the Friendly Arm Inn talking about the iron shortage) if you ever decide to quit that game and re-load, or load a previous saved game, the minute you get a new entry for your journal, you suddenly get all the other entries that you had collected on your previous go through too... so even if you load an earlier save where you haven't yet talked to anyone that could give you that entry, the minute you get a single journal entry, you get every other entry you have ever gotten on the previous playthrough.
Here's an example. On a previous save I went to the Temple of Healing in the Friendly Arm and did some donations. By doing so I got a whole bunch of Journal Entries. I screwed up and donated too much (my evil peeps weren't pleased) so I reloaded and before going back to the temple, I decided to talk to Bentley. Note my journal before talking to him (Screenshot below)
Now once I talk to him, he's supposed to give me a single journal entry on either how the Iron Trade has slowed or talking of trouble down south. Should just be one entry right? Nope. It gives me back all my previous entries I got on my last game played, even tho I didn't save them and this is a totally different save... Really odd and annoying. Here's a pic of my journal after speaking to Bentley.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Obviously, you should get the journal entries that people are supposed to give you, not every journal entry you may have ever gotten in a different play-through.
UPDATE: I have now had this problem many times. Definitely an issue.

A really charismatic and clever guy already postet a solution for this problem you are experiencing.
Take a look at: [Workaround] Unpausing after sleeping in Inn / Dungeon
And: Yes, I need this self-laudation :-D
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: The necklace should not vanish (obviously :P )
Kagain: "You dolt! Shut your trap before it gets you into trouble!"
Xzar: "Oh speak no more, lest ye gorge my sweet tooth!"
Xzar begins saying his line before Kagain has completed his. Seems to be a timing issue.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: Let one character complete their statement before another begins talking.

So @CameronTofer, @PhillipDaigle and @Nathan (the people from Team BG that post more on bug content related threads), just to inform.
