Pre-load failure. Thanks Beamdog!

Any reason why the preload wasn't the full game but now requires and additional 1gb dl.
How are the servers holding up because the dl speed here in New Zealand is utter garbage. What should be line speed is currently 102kb/s. Well done good to see you're providing excellent support for game owners.

I'm sure the game will be fine. When I eventually get to play it.

I would have liked to know that beforehand. I took a half day so I could jump on this, and well that turned out to be a waste of time. Thanks again.

I expected a bit of a DL but not this much.

    Communication. It helps

My game isn't even showing up anymore. I had it preloaded , and now the game is gone from my list. Why???

Even at a mere 100kb/s you'll probably get it about as quick as had you had to travel a store to pick up a physicical copy of something.

I understand the frustration (why do you think I'm on the forum and not playing?), but as @Elendar says there are a lot of folks trying to get hold of it at the same second.

Well we all preloaded the 1.6 gb. Now there is another 1.0 gb. So get downloading folks. Or don't and give the rest of us the bandwidth.

Except now it cant connect at all.
Also entitlement isnt the case here. I paid for something that was advertised as being available at a certain time and isnt. That's isnt entitlement.
Guess that'll teach me for pre-ordering now wont it

I better get my jar of tears out and add cryocore's too it. I had packed it away after giving up WoW, time to dust it off and bring it out.

So PLEASE cry some more cryocore, my jar isn't quite full yet.

Ok... so I planned to play BG 2 EE exactly 34mins ago, but my download speed has now crashed to under 10 KB/s.

So guess what? I'm probably gonna watch a movie, play a bit BG 2 Vanilla and play BG 2 EE tomorrow.

    Radical, innit?

Are you serious??! "being available at a certain time and isnt"... It is available, but what did you expect? that a copy will be delivered to you by a private jet? you lack some patience, It sounds like you are the only one on the planet that is waiting the download to finish, guess what.. you are not.

Is there an enable P2P option on the Mac downloader? I can't see it anywhere… =/ It might make the slow crawl better...

Wauw ... This guy reminds me of those people that rage that servers are laggy, and that their may be bugs when a new World of Warcraft Expansion releases... Go for a walk, take a shower ... Socialise with some friends... Whatever. Jesus, it's just a fucking game, get over it you whiny twat!

And actually it IS available at the time advertised. Just like it takes some time to walk/drive/bike home from the store, it takes some time for the game to walk down the internet pipes to your computer. It's AVAILABLE at the right time, they never said you'd be PLAYING it the moment it went live.

Im in New Zealand and its the 15th here has been for almost 14 hours.
I had no expectation to play at midnight here, but assumed someone at BD had half a brain to realise that when it releases there will be heavy bandwidth and to actually preload the vast majority of the game, but no we get crap dls and those of us not in the US get even crappier speeds becuase hey f**k anyone not an American huh.
