I've been fond of butterflies since elementary school. I very vividly remember coloring in a paper butterfly thing and being very pleased with how it turned out.
There are a lot less butterflies around than when I was younger. I've noticed the same with ladybugs and honeybees. I've heard pesticides tossed around as a possible explanation. Consequences of trying to feed an overpopulated world?
Sorry, kind of a downer for this thread. Ill try to liven it up a bit with a pic of my kitty!
@LadyRhian It has been a small dream of mine since I was a kid to have one rest in my hand. I have seen exactly 2 from a distance in my life, both times they were grabbed by birds before I could get closer.
Aw! We had a poodle when I was a child. His name was Gigi. His only problem was that he was unfixed. He would lick himself until he was all upstanding and noticeable (so to speak) and hang out on the front stoop showing God and the whole world what he was packing. Hoping to attract all the lady dogs, I'm sure.

Actually, the venezuelan poodle moth is the only poodle I can stand. At least that one won't smell like friggin' wet dogs.
It's not a plant or a type of coral; it's actually some kind of starfish with 50 billion legs somehow. It's called a basket star.
And one that resembles a bunny...
Conspiracy theory: Donald Trump's hair piece is his true form!
