    Keldormn starts wondering if he is under a spell as Tiax's words actually make some kind of sense... then realizes that if it was the case, the possibility of a spell woudn't occur to him.

    No traps you can see or find. You unlock the wooden chest, when suddenly the thing is slammed open from the inside. a Burst of light, and you find a giant skeleton standing menacingly over you, wielding scimitars, one in each hand...

    You are surprised (to say the least). Skeleton gets first attack(s). It stabs at Alora, and hits, for 10 damage, then at Minsc, but misses...

    After making sure Alora is safe, I draw my sword and attack.

    Minsc steps in front of Alira to shield her from further damage. He raises his sword in challenge, a smile on his face.

    "Boo was right! The Lich shows himself at last. Defend your self fiend!"

    Ajantis attacks the skeleton with his sword. With little flesh to cut, however, it doesn't do that much damage. Kivan lashes out with his mace, brutally smashing it into the ribcage of the skeleton, causing the bones there to crack badly.

    OOC I'll have to go now... Keldorn will try to draw attention from the undead beast it it attacks anyone else but him....

    Minsc calls back to Alora. (thinking she is casting turn undead)

    Alora runs to the back of the room and starts firing a barrage of slingshots at the Skeletons head (so long as she isn't in danger of hitting her heroic companions by doing so)

    *OOC let me field that one, it was a bit of chaos and i'm not playing atm and it was hard for me to keep up with everyone saying do this and do that. Tiax is sorta the leader of the party (in that he announced it and no one has taken it from him) so it sorta makes more sense as people were agreeing that the wooden one was the one to open.

    Plus, you can't give up the awesome combat and it could also have been the DM being nice and warning that what's in the other chests is much worse. Just my 2 cents :)

    Ajantis hears Lady Alora screaming and comes back to his senses. He then attempts to cast turn undead and purge that tortured soul from existence.

    Keldorn smashes the skeleton with the flat of his blade, inlicting minor damage. Very minor.

    Alora's sling stones impact the skeleton's noggin, cracking it like a hard-boiled egg. It refuses to die, however...

    @permidion_stark fair enough, but survive first. :) trust me, dying isn't fun, look at all the fun i've missed out on so far :(

    Hit the skellington in the legs. It will fall over!

    And lashes out at Minsc in a flurry of blades. Minsc's return blows kill it, even as he sustains 22 damage from the slashes of the scimitars. For a moment the skeleton stops, seeming to hang suspended in mid-air before it abruptly turns into a shower of sharp-edged bone fragments that cascade into the now otherwise empty chest.
