Pretty positive that's a dude. =p Sometimes it can be hard to tell when the woman has short hair and proper armour, but I'm still pretty sure that's a male. The general facial structure and specific style of haircut make me think that way.
Once I figured out this was a female, I decided I really liked it. Nothing frilly, or fancy or "feminine" about her. Short hair to make the helmet and coif fit better, no unrealistic boob-plate, practica armor with only a small amount of decoration. And the pose - hands on hips and looking down her nose at you - arrogance personified, just like a goddess would be!
btw in the 90s that particular haircut was very popular amongst female doctors who were seriously into power dressing. Needless to say I left my own locks long!

@LadyRhian I caught you out twice today - but I don't blame you, I blame the artist for having too many bloody names.
Did you know that Kilartdev is also Kilart, Choe Heon Hwa, Heon-Hwa Choe and Hwa Heon Choe depending on which of his sites you visit. Any way I've found a lot more sites for him and a lot more art so I'll be doing a MEGA update later this month. No one site has all of his art, you've got to track down them all ... sigh. I don't speak very good whatever the language he uses is ;D
Marat Aslanov also goes by the name Marat Ars, which is how I saw him called when I first saw his work on a few Art Magazine sites - so that's what I called him when I posted his stuff here earlier on. Lastly - what does YMMV mean? I'm having a really bad day with my word fining problem (side effect of the bloody pills)
YMMV means "Your mileage may vary". It's a quote from Car Ads meaning that the mileage they say may not be the mileage you get. In internet parlance, it means "Your opinion may differ."
